The Silverheels Trail Runs @ COMO ROUNDHOUSE
The Silverheels Trail Runs take place at an average elevation of over 10,000’, in one of the most visually stunning areas of Colorado. The course features a mixture of single track trails and fire roads, with a few stretches of dirt road; it takes runners through high alpine and sub-alpine meadows loaded with wild flowers, with expansive views of the South Park Valley and beneath the towering "Decalibron" 14er's. You'll run through ghost towns, past abandoned mines, awe at the wildflowers in full bloom, and dance under the watchful eye of Silverheels Mountain herself and the ever stunning Milky Way Galaxy. Our 10-Mile and 18-Mile options are run on the gorgeous Gold Dust Trail traveling through massive aspen groves, over many high mountain creeks, through old mining encampments, and along a miners ditch hand dug by those in the late 1800s.

Online Registration for the 2026 Silverheels Trail Runs is now closed, and we are 100% SOLD OUT!
We opened our doors to runners affected by the cancellation of the Ouray 100 and Silver Rush/Leadville events and took in as many runners as we could. We also welcomed a number of unaffected runners who emailed about race-day registration.
We then implemented a Wait List that was a dozen deep when we closed it. We emailed those dozen runners to inform them we would be unable to accommodate them.
Walk-up registrations will be unavailable to runners who did not receive an invitation email to register on the day of the event.
The wait list filled, then closed. We did invite a few off it. We can no longer add runners to it.
At this time, if you are a runner affected by the cancellation of Ouray 100 or Silver Rush events, you can email us for 20% off entry to our Sheep Mountain Trail Runs held on August 1st in Fairplay, CO
