The race course starts at Jazzy J Salon and goes east along Wildwood Avenue, turning north onto Highland Road and climbing a modest hill; at the top of the hill, take refreshment at our water station by the neighbors of Reed Road; turn east onto Halstead and continue onto the Dakota Line Regional Trail for a quick out-and-back before returning along the regional trail to Highland; turn onto Wildwood Avenue and fly into the finish line where the course started.
Timing & Results
This is a SELF-TIMED event. We will have a timing clock, but no official results, photography, or chip timing. The course is not USTAF-certified. This is not a Boston Qualifier race. This is a run/walk for fun and for the Spass-Tagen!!!
Registration
You're here! Register now! It's $25 to participate, and if you sign up before August 31st, you can guarantee that you will receive a commemorative race t-shirt, printed locally by icecreaMNlove in Waconia. We will have additional t-shirts for purchase at the start/finish line on race day, but we can't promise we'll have your size if you register after August 31st.
Safety
The roads will NOT be closed during the event, so we ask that participants keep their eyes & ears open for cars, and stay along the LEFT side of the road so that you can watch for oncoming traffic. We will have the course marked with cones to alert drivers to runners on the course.
The Dakota Line Regional Trail is a SHARED TRAIL. It will be a beautiful day in September; there will be other people on the trail. Please be respectful and follow the rules of the trail when passing or crossing paths with other trail users.
Strollers & dogs: We welcome all families to join us at the 5K! For safety reasons, we encourage you to participate without strollers and dogs, but please be responsible for both if you bring them, and be aware of road traffic & other participants.
Race-day Parking
Parking for the race is available at Thurk Bros & on the street nearby.
