Spooktacular Almost 4 Mile Fun Run

Spooktacular is back for its 12th year!

This (almost) 4-mile course starts at the corner of First Ave and East Main Street. The first mile winds through the historic Manasquan Inlet with river views, then opens onto the boardwalk and the ocean. From there it turns inland toward Stockton Lake before heading back through the Norman Rockwell streets at the center of town. You'll finish at historic Leggett's, a Manasquan staple since 1935.

If 4 miles is too much, there's a 2-mile walk with the same start and finish.

100% of proceeds support adults on the autism spectrum, 21 and older, in accredited programs that build the skills and job placements they need to live independent, purposeful lives.

What time does Spooktacular start?
On October 17th, 2026, the starting gun goes off at 11:00am sharp. The pre-race ceremony begins around 10:50am.

What is the cost to register?

July 1 to August 31: $30
September 1 to October 3: $35
October 4 to October 15: $40
Online registration closes October 15th. You can also register in person Friday night or race morning.

Do I need to register my child?
Any child above the age of 4 needs to be registered.

Who receives a t-shirt?
Everyone who registers by October 3rd is guaranteed a shirt. After that, shirts are available while supplies last.

Who do checks get made out to?
Future of Blue Foundation.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, as long as they're on a leash.

Do runners get recognized?
The top 3 men, women, and nonbinary finishers get a shout-out at the All You Can Eat Bash. And since it's Spooktacular, we also recognize the best costumes.

Where should I park?
Leggett's has a parking lot, though space is limited. Street parking is available throughout Manasquan on a first-come, first-served basis.

For participants' safety:
With more than 500 runners and walkers, Spooktacular has become a real community event. To keep everyone safe, we ask for no bikes, rollerblades, or skateboards on the course.

Additional swag?
For an extra contribution, Future of Blue swag is available during registration and after the race. Proceeds benefit Future of Blue Foundation. Cash or checks only.

The almost-4-mile run starts at First Ave and East Main, heads down the beachwalk for a mile of ocean views, then turns inland past Stockton Lake and back through town to finish behind Leggett's. 3.96 miles, flat the whole way.

The almost-2-mile walk shares the same start at First Ave and East Main, runs down along the beachfront, and loops back to finish behind Leggett's. 1.95 miles, flat and easy.

Packet Pick-Up

Shirt and bib pickup is inside Leggett's on Friday from 6 to 9pm, or Saturday (race morning) from 8:30 to 10:30am.

You can also register on Friday night or Saturday morning. The start is at the corner of First Ave and East Main Street.

Race shirts are guaranteed for participants who registered by October 3rd. After that, shirts are available while supplies last.
