About Springburst 10K & Kids One-Mile Fun Run
Join the Prince George's Running Club (PGRC) for Springburst's 40th year. The event will feature a 10K (6.2 mile) out and back course as well as a free kids one mile fun run. For the first time in 2026, PGRC will include a virtual race option for our Springburst 10K. Participants of the virtual race will have until Sunday, April 26, 2026 to complete the 10K.
The 10K race is part of the Maryland Road Runners Club of America MDRRCA Race Series GrandPrix race series.
Race premium will include our uniquely designed race T-shirt. All 10K participants registered by March 27th, 2026 will receive a shirt. Late registrants are not guaranteed shirt and size. (Please note, if determined by our supplier, this date may change)
Prince George's Running Club members will save $5.00 on their registration fee. If you are not currently a member, please consider joining.

About PGRC
Founded in 1985, the Prince George’s Running Club (PGRC) is the premier running club in Prince George's County, MD. PGRC is a member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

Course Details
The historic Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis (WB&A) Trail runs along the site of the former Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis Railroad. The light rolling hills is great for runners of all levels and a nice trail for the whole family.
The out and back course will start roughly 47 meters southeast of the Glendale Splash Park. Runners will travel 3.1 miles northeast, going under the railroad bridge.
Runners will go over the bridge at route 197 and turnaround about 15 meters past the end of the bridge.
Water Stops
There will be one water stop along the course which will be accessible at miles 2 and again at mile 4. Runners will be provided with water and Gatorade.
Bathrooms
There will be no bathrooms along the course. Bathrooms will be available at the start of the race. Please plan accordingly.
Runners and walkers are welcomed alike. Strollers are allowed, we just ask you to start towards the back.
While we love our four legged friends, we ask that you only bring them to help cheer you on from the sidelines.

Directions
You can use the address to the Glen Dale Splash Park in your GPS for directions.
- From north on the beltway- take exit 23 towards Greenbelt. Make a left onto MD 193 E/ Greenbelt Road. Continue to follow MD 193 E. Pass by Five Guys on the right. The Splash Park will be located on right.
- From the south on the beltway - Take I-495 N/I-95 N on the beltway. Take exit 20A for MD-450/Annapolis Road toward Lanham. Merge onto MD-450 E/Annapolis Rd
Use the right lane to take the MD-564 E/Lanham Servern Road exit. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Glenn Dale/Bowie and merge onto MD-564 E/Lanham Severn Rd. Merge onto MD-564 E/Lanham Severn Rd.Turn right onto Glenn Dale Blvd (1.4 mi). Follow Glen Dale Blvd until you reach your destination.
Parking
Parking is available at the Glen Dale Splash park. Please follow parking instructions by the parking attendants.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
- 7:00 AM – Packet pick up begins
- 8:45 AM – Packet pick up ends
- 9:00 AM – Springburst 10K begins
- 9:05 AM – Kids One-mile fun run begins
- 10:30 AM – Presentation of Awards
AWARDS
Awards for the 10k will be given to the top 3 finishers (both male and female) of the race. New for 2025, awards will be given to the top finisher in each age group (both male and female): under 20, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 54-59, 60-64, 65-69, over 70-74, 75-79, over 80.

The Cultural Academy for Excellence (CAFE) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. CAFE began in 1996 with a grant from the Kaiser Permanente Building Hope Foundation. Our purpose is to provide our youth with the needed tools to activate their highest potentials, through academic, artistic, and cultural means.
