Springdale 5K

Join us for the Springdale 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, September 12th, 2026!  This race starts at 8am on the grounds of the Historic Springdale Race Course and the National Steeplechase Museum!  Finish strong at the gates of the Carolina and Colonial Cup! Runners and Walkers are welcome!  Race proceeds benefit the Mobile Nutrition Center, a mobile food pantry that delivers healthy foods to sites located in rural Kershaw County, SC. The MNC directly serves clients by removing barriers that prevent access to food like transportation and income. Through community partnerships, MNC delivers farm fresh, store-bought and even rescued food and grocery products like vegetables, meats, whole pastas and rice, and baked goods to food insecure people.Health and Homeless initiatives in Kershaw county are operated by the United Way of Kershaw County!  

This certified and officially timed race starts at 8am. The course will have one water stop and lots of friendly volunteers to guide and cheer you on the the finish line! Your registration includes a quality Springdale 5K Shirt, FREE Waffles with all the fixings at the finish line for our registered runners! Dogs on leashes and children in strollers are welcome.  This is a great community event we hope you will enjoy with your family and friends

SHIRT DEADLINE! - You must be registered by August 15,  2026 to be guaranteed a shirt! We will order extra shirts! But there are NO GUARANTEES of a race shirt after the deadline. We are unable to ship or hold shirts for those who do not pick their shirt up before or on race day.

GIDDY UP!  This awesome race course starts and finishes at the Historic Springdale Race Course looping through the beautiful neighborhoods of Camden SC.  You can gallop for a PR or you can trot with your friends.  The best part?  You can smell the waffles cooking at the finish line!  Race to the finish and enjoy waffles with all the fixins!  Thanks to our friends from Target for being our chefs!

Our Awards Ceremony will begin around 9:30am!  Here is our Award Structure!

10 & Under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 - 74, 75 & Over

Awards must be picked up on race day!  We are unable to ship the awards.  You are allowed to pick up an award for friends if they can't stay for the award ceremony!

DONATIONS NEEDED!  Help others with a donation for the Mobile Nutrition Center from our "Needs List".  To make a donation, bring some items to donate from the list to our BIG DONATION BOX at Packet PIck Up or on Race Day!  What a great way to give back to our community!  We appreciate your donations!

Canned pasta sauce *no glass please*

1-2 pound bags of rice

Macaroni and cheese

You will LOVE our high quality,  cool blend,  race shirt!   Make sure you get one!  Get registered before our  Shirt Guarantee Deadline on August 15th.  We will order extras for those who register after this date.  When you register for the race, our system shows how many shirts are available in each size.  They are first come, first serve after the shirt deadline!

*****You must pick up your shirt at packet pick up or on race day!  We do not hold shirts after the race and are not able to ship them to you.  Can't be there to pick up your shirt?  Send a friend!  We are happy to give the shirt to them at packet pick up or on race day!  We appreciate your understanding.
