About SRLA Friendship Run
Get ready for the marathon with a new PR! Join Students Run LA students and leaders at Hansen Dam for the third event of the Medal Series. Every runner will receive the next medal in the Series and a special t-shirt designed by an SRLA Student.
This is the registration page for public participants, current SRLA students and leaders can register by contacting their group's primary leader.
No refunds.
Bib Pick Up will take place the morning of the event (2/15) between 6AM and 7AM in the expo area. Please arrive early to allow yourself plenty of time to walk over and pick up your materials. No bag check.
30K Course Limit - 5 hours. We cannot ensure road closures or post-event materials for runners/walkers completing the event in over 5 hours. No late starts.

5 Freeway (North)
• Take the Osborne Street Exit.
• Turn right onto Osborne Street.
• Continue 2+ miles past Glenoaks Blvd.
• Turn right into the park at Dronfield Avenue.
118 Freeway (East)
• Take the Glenoaks Blvd Exit.
• Turn left at Paxton.
• Turn right onto Glenoaks Blvd and continue to Pierce Street.
• Turn left onto Pierce Street and continue to Dronfield Avenue.
• Turn right onto Dronfield Ave and continue straight at Osborne Street and into the park.
210 Freeway (East or West)
• Take the Osborne Street Exit.
• Turn right (if heading east) or left (if heading west) onto Foothill Blvd.
• Continue on Foothill Blvd to Osborne Street
• Turn left on Osborne Street.
• Continue on Osborne Street to Dronfield Avenue
• Turn left on Dronfield and into the park.
Parking
Event Participant Parking
Public race participant parking will be available at the Hansen Dam Baseball Field (map HERE) and in residential neighborhoods nearby. Please arrive early to the run! Students Run LA buses will begin arriving at 6:00AM - please plan to arrive and park before that time to avoid delays.
Important: PUBLIC PARTICIPANTS MUST PRINT AND DISPLAY THEIR EVENT REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION TO ACCESS THE PARTICIPANT PARKING AREA.
Parking space is limited and parking is first come, first served. Carpooling is high encouraged.
Spectator Parking
Other vehicles including SRLA participants arriving in private autos, parents, and spectators are expected to find parking on nearby streets. Parking may be available FIRST COME; FIRST SERVED at the Hansen Dam Recreation Center Ball Fields Parking lot. Be prepared to walk about a mile to the SRLA Staging Area.

Run the Dam or Complete the Virtual Race
Participants have two options for the SRLA Friendship Run...
Complete the 30K or 5K runs in-person with SRLA Students and leaders on Sunday, February 15th at Hansen Dam.
Or
Participate in the Virtual Run*
- Run, walk, or jog 5K or 30K anywhere in the world, at any time
- Submit your time online
- Receive a finisher item and a medal by mail, following the event
*Virtual participants will not be allowed to run on the course on Sunday, February 15th. Bibs, medals, and finisher items will not be provided to Virtual participants on the day of the event.
Race Day Registration
In-person registration will be available for both the 30K and 5K.
Registration will be Sunday morning at Hansen Dam from 6AM - 7:15AM. Please arrive early with payment in hand.
We will accept cash, card, and Venmo payments.
2025 - 2026 SRLA Medal Series
Join us at all four events of the SRLA Medal Series this season and complete the series puzzle!

There will be no age group or overall winners awarded.

Registration closes five minutes before the start of each race.
Virtual run: All medals and finisher items will be sent via US Postal Service to the address provided in your registration. Mailings will begin the week of February 16th and may take 3 weeks to arrive. Virtual participants will not be allowed to run on the course on Sunday, February 15th. Bibs, medals, and finisher items will not be provided to Virtual participants on the day of the event.
