SRLA Victory 5K

May 3rd, 2026 - Join us for the fourth and final event of 2025 - 2026 SRLA Medal Series and complete the puzzle! Celebrate the end of the school year with SRLA students and leaders as we all run a victory lap with a fun 5K and a post event celebration.

Celebrate the SRLA Season - The SRLA Victory 5K will bring thousands of SRLA runners back together, again. You can be a part of SRLA history - your entry fee will support student runners on their life changing journey to the marathon.

On race day, Sunday May 3rd, here are your options to get to the event.

Please note that the following streets will be closed to traffic because they are a part of the race course.

Road Closures

• 6th Street between S. Mott Street & S. Mathews Street: 5: 30 – 11:00 am
• 6th Street between S. Soto Street & S. St. Louis Street: 5: 30 – 11:00 am
• S. St. Louis Street and S. Chicago St. between 4th Street and Whittier Blvd: 6:00 – 9:30 am
• 6th Street Bridge/Whittier Blvd between S. Soto Street and S. Santa Fe Ave: 6:00 – 9:00 am
• 4th Street between S. St. Louis Street and S. Chicago St 6:00 – 9:00 am

Metro Gold/L Line stop at Soto & 1st is a short walk to the event. Cross Soto and walk east on 1st street one block then turn right/south on Mathews until it deadends, turn left and you will see the start/line line. Keep walking past the start/finish line and to the festival/expo where you will pick up your bib.

Please car pool or arrive very early, parking is scarce in this area of the city.

Parking options:

6th street at Hollenbeck Middle School and across the street. -- 2510 E. 6th Street

• These two lots will fill up quickly. You will only be able to access these two lots if you drive down 6th Street west bound from Soto. Other streets will be closed. You will not be able to exit either of these lots between 6am and 930am so DO NOT PARK HERE if you need to leave quickly after the 5K.

• This lot can be accessed by turning on to 6th street from Soto.

Hollenbeck Park - 415 S. St, Louis Street

• This is a public lot a short walk away from the event

Boyle Heights Sports Center - 994 S. Mathews Street

• This is a public lot a short walk away from the event

City Streets - Various

• There are many legal parking spots in the surrounding neighborhoods but most will be taken by the residents. Do not park on any street that is part of the race route or your car will be towed. Commercial area's, for instance, near the Northgate Market on Soto, are more likely to have open spots on the street, many of the residential streets will be full with the cars of the people who live in the neighborhood.

Participants have two options for the SRLA Spring into Summer 5K...

Complete the 5K run in-person with SRLA Students and leaders on Sunday, May 4th.

Or

Participate in the Virtual Run*

Run, walk, or jog 5K anywhere in the world, at any time
Submit your time online
Receive a finisher item and a medal by mail, following the event
*Virtual participants will not be allowed to run on the course on Sunday, May 4th. Bibs, medals, and finisher items will not be provided to Virtual participants on the day of the event.

SRLA does not offer refunds.

The deadline to switch events is Monday, May 1st. No event switches will be processed after that date.

Location, date, and event information are subject to change without notice.

There will be no age group or overall winners awarded.

Virtual run: All medals and finisher items will be sent via US Postal Service to the address provided in your registration. Mailings will begin the week of May 6th and may take 3 weeks to arrive. Virtual participants will not be allowed to run on the course on Sunday, May 5th. Bibs, medals, and finisher items will not be provided to Virtual participants on the day of the event.
