PLEASE READ ALL INFO BEFORE REGISTERING SO YOU ARE FULLY AWARE OF ALL REQUIREMENTS!  

REQUIREMENTS

  • K to 8th grade students attending St. Charles School, St. Charles Religious Ed. (CCD) Program, another local Catholic School or Religious Ed. Program (CCD) - Being a Parish member does not satisfy this requirement - ENROLLMENT WILL BE VERIFIED.

  • Completed medical form by a doctor prior to the first practice.  This form is required once per school year for all sports programs so you can check if your child's current form on file is valid or is expired and a new one is needed.  Please submit all forms to the School Office, RE Office, or email Angie @ awojnar@comcast.net 

  • Completed registration & payment online ($55) 

  • Decent running shoes, black shorts, and team shirt ($15 to be paid prior to first meet for new members and those needing a new shirt)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Sunday, March 8th

Junior Cruisers: Grades: K - 2nd Grade
Practices: Sundays from approx. 1-2pm March 22nd to May 17th - exact dates/times may vary slightly based on coaches’ availability
Meets: TBD either Friday evenings or Saturday mornings/afternoons (based on coaches’ and track availability)
Events: 50m, 100m, long jump, 4x100m relay

Cruisers Grades: 3rd – 8th Grade
Practices: 1-2 weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons starting week of March 15th through May 14th - exact dates/times may vary slightly based on coaches’ availability
Meets: TBD Friday evenings or Saturday mornings starting March 27/28th; for qualifying athletes only: Championship meet (Sunday, May 17th) & Meet of Champions (Tuesday, May 19th)
Events: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4x100m relay, long jump, shot put

Diocesan of Trenton - Player Code of Conduct

Preamble:  Interscholastic & youth sports programs play an important role in promoting the physical, social, & emotional development of children. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches, & officials to encourage youth athletes to embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Moreover, adults involved in youth sports events should be models of good sportsmanship & should lead by example by demonstrating fairness, respect, & self-control.

I, therefore, pledge to be responsible for my words & actions while attending, coaching, officiating or participating in a youth sports event & shall conform my behavior to the following code of conduct:

  1. I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee.
  2. I will not encourage my child, or any other person, to engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, parent,  player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  3. I will not engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, parent, player,  participant, official, or any other attendee.
  4. I will not encourage my child, or any person, to engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  5. I will not use drugs or alcohol while at a youth sports events & will not permit my child, or encourage any other person, to attend, coach, officiate, or participate in a youth sports event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  6. I will not permit my child, or encourage any other person, to use drugs or alcohol at a youth sports event & will not permit my child, or encourage any other person, to attend, coach, officiate, or participate in a youth sports event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  7. I will not engage in the use of profanity.
  8. I will not encourage my child, or any other person, to engage in the use of profanity.
  9. I will treat any coach, parent, player, participant, official or any other attendee with respect regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or ability.
  10. I will encourage my child to treat any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee with respect  regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or ability.
  11. I will not engage in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  12. I will not encourage my child, or any other person, to engage in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  13. I will not initiate a fight or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  14. I will not encourage my child, or any other person, to initiate a flight or scuffle with any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.

I hereby agree that if I fail to conform my conduct to the foregoing while attending, coaching, officiating, or participating in a youth sports event, I will be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following in any order or combination:

  1. Verbal warning issued by a league, parish, school, or diocesan official.
  2. Written warning issued by a league, parish, school, or diocesan official.
  3. Suspension or immediate ejection from a youth sports event issued by a league, parish, school, or diocesan official who is authorized to issue such a suspension or ejection by the League Director, Parish Pastor, or School Principal.
  4. Suspension from multiple youth sports events issued by a league, parish, school, or diocesan official who is authorized to issue such a suspension by the League Director, Parish Pasto, or School Principal.
  5. Season suspension or multiple season suspension issued by Athletic Commissioner for the Diocese.
