About St Jude Autumnfest 5K

Join us for a fun fall morning of fitness and fellowship as we run/walk 3.1 miles around the south side of Indianapolis. All are welcome! Proceeds from this event benefit St. Jude Catholic Church Youth Ministries.

There is also a 50 yard kids race just prior to the main event. This is a free event and registration is requested but not required for this fun event!

Course Marshal Instructions

First of all - Thank You! The best thing we can offer our participants is a safe race and course marshals help deliver that. Along with 4 IMPD officers you will be positioned along the race course to keep runners on course and provide assistance as needed. With your help we are going to have a great race!

Here is what you need to know:

1.      Linked below is the safety plan. It's pretty simple. Give it a quick read before the race.

2.      Show up by 9:00am and check in at packet pickup to get your volunteer shirt. Make your way over to where our safety team will be assembling. (Look for all the people in bright yellow shirts just north of the finish line! There will be a small bus parked there)

3.      Our race safety director will review the plan with you at around 9:15.

4.      At 9:20am IMPD officers will arrive. After a quick check in everyone will board the bus to be dropped off at their spot on the course.

5.      By 9:50 everyone is in place and ready for a 10:00am race start!

6.      The last person in the race is called the “sweeper” They will be wearing a volunteer shirt and will let you know when they pass by. At that point you are free to walk back to St. Jude – See your map if you need directions! If the distance is longer than you care to walk call us and we give you a lift back.

7.      Check in with the race safety director when you are back and you are free to go! Thank you for your help in making our 5K a huge success!

Race Day Schedule & Parking

All activities will take place in the east parking lot, near the St. Jude Youth Center.

                  Indiana Physical Therapy Tent Open for pre-race stretching and evaluation.
9:30am    Packet Pickup Ends
9:30am    Kids Race Featuring Rowdie the Lion for ages 8 and under with prize for all finishers!
9:45am    Runners line up near the starting line, grouped by pace
9:50am    Pre-Race Ceremony Begins
10:00am    Race Start!
10:15am    Post Race Party begins! Join us for a Iaria's Famous Meatballs, beverage, and Edible Arrangements Fruit Cup (while supplies last!)
11:00am    Post Race Door Prizes and Wrap Up (must be present to win)

Parking
Please park in the lots marked in yellow below. If parking will up you may need to park in the west lot at Roncalli High School, next to Ascension Gymnasium
