St. Patrick’s Day Hash Run

Come enjoy the run, the fellowship, and refreshments. When else can you finish off a 4ish mile run with green beer?*

If you’ve never done a hash run, they’re loads of fun. A hash is an easy, social three or four-mile run intended for runners of all paces. The run will be followed by refreshments.

Start at Reynolda Village parking lot and follow Padraig’s path, stop at all 4 Shamrock Locations along the route. Look to add a green accessory item from each location to enhance your “green bling” and your green running attire. You will also need to collect one coin from each shamrock stop to end up with a pocket full of 4 coins to add back to Padraig’s pot of gold at Dough-Joes. Remember, in exchange for your collection of coins you will receive a special sweet treat from Dough-Joes so remember to head over there afterwards.

Recommended Route Directions:

·       Take the path out the top of Reynolda Gardens
·       Cross over Reynolda road (using crosswalk) into Grayln
·       Take road through Grayln and cross over Coliseum onto Oaklawn
·       Stay to right and go down Arbor
·       Right onto Robinhood road
·       Left on Sylvan Rd (look for shamrock #1)
·       Right onto Greenbrier Rd
·       Left onto Westover
·       Right onto Buena Vista Rd (look for shamrock #2)
·       Left onto Avalon
·       Right onto Forest Dr (look for shamrock #3)
·       Go Back up Forest Dr
·       Left onto Dartmouth Rd
·       Left onto Buena Vista
·       Right onto Austin Lane
·       Right onto Robinhood
·       Left onto Kearns Road
·       Right onto Roger Road
·       Left onto Ashburton Lane
·       Left onto Monticello Lane
·       Right onto Wesleyan Lane (look for shamrock #4)
·       Go back up Wesleyan Lane

We will be collecting gently worn, used sneakers and running shoes and sending them to Sneakers4Good.  Their sneaker reuse and recycling program helps keep your running shoes out of landfills while supporting local causes and families all over the world. Please note that donated shoes need to be in usable condition, with no holes or tears.

This is a free event for members of Twin City Track Club.
