Stamp Out Hunger 5K | 10 K

Event Details

The 12th annual Stamp Out Hunger 5k, 10k, and 1 Mile run/walk will take place on Labor Day - Monday, September 7, 2025.

This certified 5K course  and certified 10K course wind through a scenic and historic section of Medford, NJ.  Start and finish in front of the Medford Public Safety Building (Police Station) - 91 Union Street. This is a family friendly, yet competitive event. 

The  Zallie Community Foundation will donate ALL registration fees directly to the Food Bank of South Jersey. Proceeds from sponsorships will go to support the hunger fighting initiatives of ShopRite Partners In Caring Fund and the Food Bank of South Jersey.

5K Scoring

• All Overall Awards will be scored on gun time.
• All Age Group and Team Awards will be scored on chip time.
• There is no need to jostle for position at the start of the 5K.
• The latest timing technology is provided by DQ Events.

The official results of your placement will not be available until all participants have completed the course.
Results will be posted at: DQ Events and on RunSign Up as soon as they are available.

5K Cash Awards: Top 3 Overall - Male & Female

• $150 for First Place
• $100 for Second Place
• $50 for Third Place

5K Awards: Top 3 finishers in the following age groups - Male & Female

• 9 and Under
• 10 to 14
• 15 to 19
• 20 to 29
• 30 to 39
• 40 to 49
• 50 to 59
• 60 to 69
• 70 and Over

5K Team Awards: Top Team* in each of the following categories:

• Family & Friends
• High School Boys
• High School Girls
• Running Clubs

*Using times of team members, the top three members will be awarded.

A virtual event allows participants to complete the distance from anywhere they want and then submit their results when they finish. If you do not run/walk with a watch or device, then you can simply mark your event as "Completed" when you submit your results.

1. Opt in for text results - when you register, you can opt in for texting which will allow you to submit your results via text. Instructions on the format of the text will be sent if you choose this route.

2. Directly through the website - this is very straightforward. From the webpage, you'll click on RESULTS - then Submit Virtual Results. Search your name and then follow the on-screen prompts to submit your time. If you do not want to submit a time but you want to acknowledge you DID IT! then you can simply mark the distance as completed and not put a time.

Ceremony Awards immediately after the race.

The race is hosted by and presented by Zallie Community Foundation.

Our race’s mission is to Stamp Out Hunger, especially in South Jersey.  ALL registration fees from our event go directly to Food Bank of South Jersey, which provides an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger throughout South Jersey.

More than an athletic event, our Stamp Out Hunger 5K and 10k is the cornerstone of our Fundraising efforts during Hunger Action Month in September. During the past 9 years, this race has donated over $250,000 towards relieving hunger in our local area.  Please join us, either virtually or in person, to Stamp Out Hunger in South Jersey!

Parking will NOT be available at the Public Safety Building but will be available at the adjacent medical building and at Freedom Park. 

  10k runners will complete the 5k course twice
