About Steps ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL 5K family fun walk/run!
Kick off the Oak Harbor Music Festival weekend with the most rockin’ 5k ever!
Take steps together with us on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at 9:00 am for the second annual Steps ROCK ‘n’ ROLL STROLL to support families caring for infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays.
You are invited to bring the whole family to join the fun and dress up as your favorite rock star! We want to see it all - leather, lace, bandanas, giggles, smiles, tutus, crowns, big hair, glitter, and smiles! We encourage strolling, walking, running, skipping, hopping – and especially dancing - to cross the finish line.
Our day begins at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island. The course follows the sparkling waterfront out to Catalina Park at the Marina and back to Windjammer Park.
- Free parking is available at Windjammer Park.
- Check-in at the registration tables to pick up your race bib and t-shirt
- All pre-registered participants will receive a free T-shirt. We cannot guarantee t-shirts in your size will be available to those who register after August 15th, 2025
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event to ensure everyone in your group gets checked in.
- After checking in, enjoy kids' activities, face painting, photo booth back drops, and more. This is the perfect time for Rock Star photos!
- Strollers, tricycles, sea turtles, and fur babies ARE permitted on the course - the entire 5k course is paved. Please act responsibly and clean up after your pets.
- This is a non-competitive event, with each runner moving at their own pace and all finishers celebrated equally.
- At the end of the 5k, we will have snacks and refreshments. Families are invited to make their way to SE Pioneer Way to enjoy the Oak Harbor Music Festival.

WHY EARLY SUPPORT
The first 36 months of life, when the braindevelops most rapidly, are critical for buildingfoundational skills for future learning. Positive early experiences are essential for later success in school, the workplace, and community. These are the most impactful years for us to support family’s needs specific to their child’s development.

OUR IN HOME SERVICES
Steps‘ evidence-based home visit model builds parents‘ and caregivers’ skills and confidence to support their children in a familiar environment . Our Therapists and Educators provide support by using parent and caregiver-child interactions, daily routines, and household materials. In-home services provide comfort for children and their whole families.
