Blast Off with Us!

The 6th Annual Super Sam’s 5K & Dino Dash, held in honor of our favorite superheroes, Sam Pampel and friends, is blasting off on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at White Rock Lake’s Filter Building in Dallas!

This year, we’re heading out of this world with an outer-space theme inspired by one of our buddies, Caleb, and his love of all things space! 

Join us as we blast off against childhood cancer, raise awareness, fund critical support and research, and go the extra few yards for kids and families facing cancer.

Come celebrate with us, in person or virtually! Grab your crew, channel your inner astronaut, and let’s make this year’s race truly out of this world! 🪐🚀

5K Medals awarded to Overall Top Male & Female 5K finishers, First and second place for both male and female timed 5K finishers 26-49 and 50+.  First, Second and Third place awarded to both male and female timed 5K finishers for Under 13, and top 3 Virtual 5K finishers.

Sam fought hard for four years against neuroblastoma before passing away at age 7, on January 23, 2020.


The Samuel Allen Pampel Foundation has been created to raise money, not just for the children and families fighting the same fight as Sam and his family, but also for pediatric cancer research.

Here are just a few facts about pediatric cancer that you should be aware of:


Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States alone.

More than 40,000 children undergo cancer treatment each year; yet few cancer treatments are developed for them.
In fact, In the last 20 years, only 4 treatments have been specifically designed for children, and only 4% of the National Cancer Institute annual funding is spent on childhood cancer research.
