About Us

Mending The Gap Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a unique mission: Keeping seniors healthy, independent, and connected.

Our vision is to provide personalized, one-on-one support struggling seniors, by making vital resources accessible and promoting long-term self-sufficiency. We do this through:

•   Nutritious food, household essentials, personal care items and pet food delivery to atleast 700 seniors monthly
•   Community engagement to reduce loneliness and isolation
•   Technology education to help seniors thrive in a digital world
•   Intergenerational connection, inspiring youth to uplift and support the elderly.
• Assistance with with minor home repairs and home cleaning services

Our mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We aim to nurture long-term well-being, reduce social isolation, and foster meaningful relationships that empower seniors to age with dignity and purpose

Race Course:  The race begins and ends in the City Park's lower parking lot.
The Course: This race course is a USATF Certified 5K Course (GA16019DJ), and as such can be used as a 2026 Peachtree Qualifier! The course will be marked with signs and mile markers. This race is for expert runners as well as beginners and walkers. 

                                   Refund - Transfer & Deferral Policy

                                        Absolutely NO Refunds

                There are NO illegal transfers of bibs to other runners

It is imperative that the registration data associated with your race number does in fact belong to you, the participant.  If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events with a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent Focus Multisports events for a minimum of two years.

Our past race was marred by numerous participants running under the guise of someone else’s race number.  While this may seem harmless to the parties perpetrating the unauthorized bib transfer, it does convey serious consequences to the organizers and participant field alike.

From race results to finishers’ awards being impacted as well as medical staff being able to correctly identify participants in need of treatment, it is imperative that the registration data associated with your race number does in fact belong to you, the participant.

Thus, if race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in one of our events with a bib that is not registered to that runner, both the runner and the person to whom the bib is registered will be prohibited from participating in subsequent Mending The Gap events for a minimum of two years.

 There are absolutely NO refunds, even in the event of race cancellation due to bad weather conditions that would be harmful to our participants, and NO transfers to other runners, NO exceptions.
