📍 Starting & Finishing at the Cape San Blas Lighthouse – Port St. Joe, Florida
Join us for the Tails & Sails 5K and Kids Fun Run, proudly hosted by Strollin’ Joe’s Run Club in partnership with the Mermaid Bay Festival, as we kick off a weekend of coastal celebration in beautiful Port St. Joe.
Beginning and ending at the iconic Cape San Blas Lighthouse, this family-friendly event blends fitness, fun, and festival magic along Florida’s Forgotten Coast.
🏃♀️ The 5K
Enjoy a scenic coastal run welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and paces. Whether you're chasing a personal best or soaking in the salty air, this event is designed to be festive, inclusive, and community-driven.
Costumes are highly encouraged — mermaids, pirates, sailors, sea creatures, and creative coastal characters are all welcome!
🏴☠️ Kids Fun Run ( free)
Our young pirates and mermaids will take part in a magical fun run filled with adventure, pirate gold, mermaid fun, and big smiles at the finish line. This short-distance run is designed just for kids and packed with excitement.
✨ Costumes are encouraged for both adults and children — the more creative, the better!
Most importantly, this event gives back to our community.
Proceeds from Tails & Sails will benefit Little Sharks Learning Academy right here in Port St. Joe, supporting local children and their educational growth.
Come run, walk, dress up, and celebrate the start of festival season by the sea. We can’t wait to see you at the lighthouse!
