Keep Calm and Swim On for four miles, following yellow buoys.
Wetsuits are allowed.
You must report to us if you drop out.
For the Lee J. Greer Award, you must swim unassisted without propulsion aids. You may hold a boat that doesn’t move you forward.

Dale’s Seafood awards successful solo 4-Mile Labor Day swimmers with a free lunch special – bring your Lee J. Greer award.
You should be done in less than four hours.

What to bring
A faithful adult friend or relative to guide you - Patience helps.
Kayaks - work very well, as do small boats.
Electric trolling motors - are great, and no gas fumes!
Also helpful - Goggles. Swim cap (for visibility). Swim fins or snorkel are NOT allowed. Wetsuits are allowed.
Pack that boat with plenty of provisions for a long haul: Food, water, sunscreen, clothes, etc.
