About TakeOff 2026: Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Event
Join us for our 17th Annual Race!
TakeOff is a race to honor DUI victims, raise awareness about the seriousness of impaired driving, and encourage the community to have a positive influence in the reduction of impaired driving. All profits will go to the purchase of breathalyzers (PBTs) for the Pennsylvania State Police and other law enforcement agencies throughout the Commonwealth. Since 2009, the foundation has purchased 3,032 PBTs. This year, the goal is to raise $100,000 to purchase 200 PBTs. Join us in person at Saint Vincent College or virtually at your convenience and help us make our communities safer by providing the necessary tools to law enforcement to remove impaired drivers from our roads. Together we can make a difference; we can save lives. Thank you for support.

The Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Foundation will continue to offer our TakeOff virtual race options. If you cannot join us on race day but still want to honor DUI victims and help reduce deaths by DUI, we have good news for you! You can register for one of our Virtual Events:

Iwaniec’s hockey and football number, you can complete the 42 Mile Challenge now through April 30, 2026 by walking, running, hiking, biking, swimming, paddling, or any combination of those activities. Progress can be added to our online results page on our online registration site as you work to complete the 42 miles.
542 Mile Challenge - For the participants who want to track their activities all year long! Inspired by Tpr. Iwaniec’s hockey and football number, you can complete the 542 Mile Challenge now through December 31, 2026 by walking, running, hiking, biking, swimming, paddling, or any combination of those activities. Progress can be added to our online results page on our online registration site as you work to complete the 542 miles. The registration fee for this event includes the 2026 TakeOff Race Shirt, 542 Mile Challenge Medal, and 542 Mile Challenge Commemorative Decal.
