About Taxiway 5k
The Taxiway 5K returns for its second year on Saturday, February 28, bringing runners back to one of the most unique race venues in Southern California, Cable Airport in Upland, CA.
This afternoon 5K (4:30pm start) starts and finishes in front of Mt. Baldy Brewery, taking runners on a loop around the airport with beautiful mountain views and a chance to see some of the incredible aircraft on display. After crossing the finish line, stick around at the brewery for a post-race celebration featuring live music, food trucks, and the best beer in SoCal. This year's event will also feature a 800m "Kid's Takeoff Dash" presented by the Mt. Baldy Athletics Foundation which will start at 4pm.
Registration includes a Taxiway 5k pom pom beanie and a post-race drink at the Brewery! There are also Taxiway 5k finishers medals for all finishers. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this unique race with great vibes, delicious brews, and can't miss mountain views await. Q. What time does the race begin?
A. The race will start at 4pm on March, 1, 2025. You should plan to arrive at the Brewery at least 30 minutes before the start time.
Q. When is packet pickup? Is there early packet pickup?
A. Race bibs can be picked up at the brewery/starting line between 1pm and 3:45pm on race day. There is no early packet pickup for this first year event.
Q. Can I register on race day? Do you accept credit cards at packet pick up and/or on race day?
A. Yes, but all registrations are done online and may be done using a personal phone at packet pickup and on race day. The system updates immediately and we will be able to then check you in.
Q. Are baby joggers/strollers allowed? Do kids in joggers/strollers need to be registered for the 5K?
A. Yes, but please be aware and stay clear of other runners. Young kids in joggers/strollers do not need to be registered for the 5K.
