Texas Autism Walk

Join Autism Society of Texas to support the Texas Autism community at the 18th Annual Texas Autism Walk on Saturday, April 25th from 9:30am-12:30pm.  Funds raised support our programs that connect people with Autism, their families, and caregivers to resources and support across Texas - all free of charge!

Event Schedule

9:30 AM - Event Check-in and Resource Fair open

10:30 AM - Walk begins

Ways to Participate

• In-person at Lakeline Park in Cedar Park, just northwest of Austin on April 25, 2026.  When you register for the Walk, you can also create a team and invite friends and family to join you or donate to show their support.  Walk registration includes a 2026 event tee.
  
  
• In your local community where you can walk, run, or bike as part of our 1 in 31 Challenge to acknowledge and support the 1 in 31 people on the spectrum where they live in Texas.  Register for free, create a team fundraiser, and track your miles.  Donate or raise a minimum of $31 by April 23, 2026 to receive a 2026 event tee. • Make a personal donation or create a fundraiser and invite friends and family to show their support for the Texas Autism Community. (See sample fundraising messages)
  
  
• Become a Sponsor or Resource Fair Exhibitor and receive recognition and visibility at the in-person event and the online resource fairs held in May in English and Spanish.

The in person is happening rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or other natural disaster or emergency as required to protect staff and participants, the event will be cancelled. Fees are non-refundable, we will make arrangements to get event t-shirts to participants.

Walk. Run. Bike. Make an Impact for Autism.

Join the 1 in 31 Challenge and help raise awareness and support for the Texas Autism community.

Throughout the challenge, participants will walk, run, or bike 31 miles from anywhere while tracking their progress and fundraising for programs that support Autistic individuals and families across Texas.

Whether you take the challenge on your own, with friends, or with your workplace, every mile helps expand resources, advocacy, and community support.

How it works:

• Register for FREE to participate in the 1 in 31 Challenge

• Walk, run, or bike 31 miles during the challenge

• Track and report your miles to us by April 23, 2026 at 5pm (See tracking tips)

• Fundraise or donate at least $31 to receive a 2026 event t-shirt
      (See "How do I create or join a team?" in the FAQs to set up
       a Team Fundraiser so you can invite your friends, family, or coworkers
       to donate or join you in the Challenge.)

We will celebrate participants in our social media and newsletter, including:

• Highest amount raised (See sample fundraising messages)

• Most miles walked, run, or biked

Together, we can build a more connected and supportive Texas for Autistic individuals and their families.

Important Note: Resource Fair registration is not a sponsorship—it only provides the opportunity to table at the in-person event (resource fair participants must bring their own table/tent and chairs). Resource Fair participants will not have their name or logo displayed on the event website or walk t-shirts. There is no need to add a description or URL. If you do not have a logo available, you may upload any image, since it will not be featured in event materials.
