About The ASCENT 121 Challenge, by F3

Join F3 West Indy for our 1st annual, week-long virtual activity challenge, benefiting Ascent 121. This year, we will attempt to log 1,000 miles of activity as a group.  As sex trafficking is a huge issue all around the world, we have decided to step up and raise awareness in Louisville. All participants will track and report their mileage throughout the week. Together, we will log more than 1,000 combined miles of walking, running, cycling, or whatever your favorite activity is!

The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual trafficking and exploitation in the Indianapolis area and around the world. This event is also a fundraiser to raise money for a deserving nonprofit that helps survivors of sex trafficking from all around the country, but is based in Indianapolis called Ascent 121. The funds raised through this event will go directly to the restoration of survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation.

ABOUT ASCENT 121 - https://ascent121.org/

Using best practices with a continuum of care, Ascent 121 provides trauma-informed therapeutic services that are survivor-centered and strengths-based. Survivors of commercial sexual exploitation present with unique needs for clinical support, where continuity is vital. Successful intervention requires both rapid and long-term interventions to help teens resist eloping or returning to their previous behavior. Much like domestic violence or substance abuse, relapse is an anticipated component of recovery.

Ascent 121 programs provide a continuum of care that allows clients to move back and forth between program settings throughout their treatment process. Our continuum utilizes a multiphase treatment approach that can be provided in multiple settings, allowing us to provide comprehensive treatment in the least restrictive setting as determined by individual risk and need. Ascent 121 staff are equipped with specialized training and supervision by experts across the country. Our continuum is comprised of four components: assessment, community-based therapy, residential programming, and case management.

ABOUT F3 NATION - https://f3nation.com/ (for F3 TEMPLATE Locations, click here: https://www.f3westindy.com/

F3 is a national network of free, peer-led workouts for men. Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership. Started in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina, F3 is now in 48 states, on 6 continents, with more than 4,650 scheduled workouts a week through the volunteer efforts of men whose lives have been changed by their involvement with the group.

The three Fs in our name stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith — the last of which we define as not one specific religion or faith system, but simply a belief in something outside oneself.

Our workouts …
Are free of charge
Are open to all men
Are held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
Are led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary
End with a Circle of Trust
We welcome men of all fitness levels to our workouts and have no requirement for membership other than that you show up at the appointed time and place and follow what the workout leader (the “Q” in F3 lingo) does.

The F3 Credo is: Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him.

Common Troubleshooting Questions
Q: I need to enter my second run but I keep entering it and my first run disappears, how do I fix it?
A: In this example, you are overwriting the first run. Instead, keep the data the same for the first run, and click ADD ANOTHER ACTIVITY in order to add your second run/walk. You will continue to do this every time you add a run/walk.

Q: I did not get my link, how do I log my miles?
A: The day after you register, you should have received an email from us with these same instructions. Please check your spam. Keep in mind you MUST BE LOGGED INTO THE https://RUNSIGNUP.COM/LOGIN  ACCOUNT THAT YOU USED TO REGISTER FOR THE RACE BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THE STEPS ABOVE.

Q: When I search my name it does not come up to enter virtual results or it says I don't have permission?
A: You must be logged into the same https://runsignup.com/login  account that you registered with.

Q: I don't see the date when I try to log my results, why not?
A: Once you get into the results page, you have to click Add Another Activity. You have to do this every time you log an activity. The distance on the right is the total distance. It will automatically add that up for you and you don't have to enter anything.

Q: I ran again today, how do I enter a second entry of results?
A: In the results page, choose Add Another Activity. DO NOT JUST OVERWRITE THE PREVIOUS ACTIVITY OR IT WILL DISAPPEAR. Each time you do a new run/walk/ride, you need to click Add Another Activity. At the end of the challenge, if you ran once per day and have 7 runs, you will see all 7 activities in the submit results page. Don't overwrite them.

Q: I made a mistake on entering my results, how do I change it.
A: In this example, you can go in and overwrite the mistake. Don't just enter it again correctly, you have to overwrite the incorrect data.

Q: I entered my results but I don't see them in the listing.
A: The results take a few minutes to update. The default is the SD-OR challenge. If you still don't see your results, see the below post on being anonymous.

Q: My wife/friend/mother/daughter registered me, how do I move that to my account?
A: Here is a link to and article on How to move a sub-account to another user. Follow the section titled: Transfer Sub-Account To Another Existing Account https://help.runsignup.com/support/solutions/articles/17000062878-access-manage-a-sub-account

Q: I am listed as anonymous in the results, why?
A: When you create an account, you have an option to be listed as anonymous in results. If you do not want this, go into your https://runsignup.com profile and click to edit profile. You will see a checkbox at the bottom that you want to UNCHECK to be listed again.
