About The Official Big Pumpkin Run 2026
The Big Pumpkin Run 5K now takes place in the scenic city of Port Arthur, Texas. This beautiful course takes runners along the Seawall and through historic Lake Shore Drive. After the race, join us for a celebration at the finish line located at Woodrow Wilson Early College High School. Please note: No pets are permitted on the course.

Course will Take you through Historic Downtown Orange. Starts at the Orange Riverside Pavilion then down W. Green Ave that will take you past such sites like the Lamar State College Orange, Stark House, Stark Museum, and the First Presbyterian Church. Your finish will be right back at the Riverside Pavilion.

Awards will be given for 1st to 3rd place overall. However, if we receive registrations from more than 3 males and 3 females, we will create two separate divisions. In this case, awards will be expanded to 1st to 3rd overall male and 1st to 3rd overall female.
AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED – The Awards Ceremony has been scheduled well in advance and, in order to collect an award, a runner must attend the ceremony or have someone pick it up at the Awards Ceremony. NO EXCEPTIONS

Q: Can I run with a baby jogger?
A: Yes, but please be aware baby or child is not allowed outside of baby jogger to be on course. They must remain in baby jogger.
Q: Can I run with headphones?
A: Headphones are not prohibited but are strongly discouraged. Participants who wear headphones must remain aware of race officials, traffic and other runners. Any participant who fails to follow directions from race officials is subject to being removed from the racecourse, for their own safety and the safety of other participants. PLEASE maintain a volume level where safety vehicles and communications can be heard.
Q: What is the time limit for the Run?
A: All streets must be reopened to traffic by 9 AM, and all participants must be able to cross the Finish Line by 9:00 AM. Participants must maintain a pace no slower than 19 minutes per mile throughout the course. Any participant slower than the maximum pace throughout the respective courses will be directed to the SAG vehicle for safety measures.
Q: Can I walk?
A:Yes you can. Must keep a 19:18 minute/mile, which is a walking pace.
Q: How many water stations will you have?
A: There will be 2 Water Stations along the course. You can find water stop locations on the course map.
Q: What do I do if I injure myself on the course?
A: There will be EMS providing medical support along the course along with police and bike marshals. Please reach out to a ham radio operator, bike marshal, or police, or water stop if additional support is needed.
Q: Will there be food at the finish line?
A: Yes, there will be food at the finish line provided by the event producer.
Q: Is the course closed to traffic?
A: Course will have barricades and we will have traffic marshals that will help us direct traffic. Course has been approved by Orange City Officials
Q: Is their a charitable cause associated to the race?
A: 3 Bros Running Company always associates with a nonprofit to highlight for every race we do.

A: Kids K participants must be 12 years and younger. 5k kids younger than 12 must get adults permission to run.
Q: How do I make changes to my registration once it has been submitted?
A: If you would like to make changes to your registration you must do so by emailing the Big Pumpkin Run registration coordinator at admin@3brosrunning.com
Q: May I DEFER my registration to the following year?
A: No deferrals to other years or races events by 3 bros running company.
Q: When will registration close?
A: Race Day at 7:30 AM
Q: Do you give out my email address?
A: No, we do not sell email addresses. You will only be notified about details pertaining to the Big Pumpkin Run and other 3 Bros events.
Q: What is the Big Pumpkin Run refund policy?
A: All entry fees are non-refundable. We have to plan well in advance for certain accommodations for race participants, and therefore cannot offer refunds. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, etc. Sorry, there are NO exceptions. You can purchase insurance for your race here.
Q: What is the refund policy if the event is canceled by weather related issues.
Participants will be all moved to Virtual Race. They have option to pick up packet or have packet shipped to them for an additional $5. No refunds.
Q: Can I register on the day of the event?
A: Yes, you can but be aware price will increase on race day.

A: Yes there is Race Day Pickup

Parking will be available for volunteers at the front of the Pavilion at W Green Ave.

The City of Orange Convention & Visitors Bureau is thrilled to announce the second annual Orangetober Festival! This event will be held October 3-5, 2025, at the Riverside Pavilion, located at 708 Simmons Drive in Orange, Texas.
The Orangetober Festival is sure to provide fun for the entire family with a variety of events and activities, including:

What is The Big Pumpkin Challenge?

Rules for Pumpkin Run
There will be 3 pumpkins along the course. The first 3 people to bring back the pumpkin after running the 5k will garner an extra prize.
Pumpkins will be marked with the 3 bros logo (either painting or a sticker)
Rules
- Runner must complete the 5k distance (no shortcuts)
- No stealing a pumpkin once it is grabbed unless it is left by the previous grabber
- Pumpkin must come back intact
- No use of a stroller or wagon is allowed
- Have fun!

We will have 3 random prizes to give away to each winner.
