Timing & Scoring Policies
This event will be chip timed with MyLaps - the most accurate RFID timing system in the world. Results are brought to you by Wolf Creek Race Management.
Rules: You will receive a bib number with a disposable chip. Do not bend, fold, wrinkle, twist, rip, wet, remove, or alter the chip in any way. You must wear your bib number on your front torso and it must be visible at all times. Failure to follow this rule will result in automatic disqualification.
Text/Email Result Notifications: LIVE in-race updates of all participants. When you register, you must select "enable" results text/email notifications in order to receive the notifications. This is highly recommended.
Split Points: Mile 1. You should hear an audible beep each time you cross the timing mat.
Start/Finish: If you do not cross the start mat & finish mat, you will be automatically disqualified.
Runners/Walkers: All participants (runners & walkers) will start together. There is no separate award division for walkers, but walkers can still place in the standard overall & age divisions.
Live Online Results: Available at wolfcreektrackclub.com/results
All overall results will be based on Gun Time. Age group awards will be based on chip (net) time.
What is Gun Time? Gun Time is the time from the mass start (when the starter officially starts the race) until when you cross the finish line. This is everyone's official time regardless of when you personally cross the start line. Gun Time is the time used for all rankings and awards.
What is Chip Time? Chip Time is the time from when you cross the start line timing mat. This will provide you with your actual time, however, this time is never used for awards placement or rankings as per USATF rules.
