Upstate Race Series

The Country Mile 48 Hour

Beechwood Farms · Marietta, SC

The race that brings you back home 🌻

Two days. One loop. A whole lot of “let's see what happens if I don't stop.” A 4.167-mile loop on a working farm, open for 48 straight hours, where you run as far as you want, when you want. Six laps is 25 miles. Twelve is fifty. Twenty-four is a hundred. Nobody is telling you which number is yours.

The loop is 95% wide dirt paths with some grass and light gravel, and only about 25 feet of climbing per lap — gentle enough that the distance, not the terrain, is what decides your day. Clear directional arrows mark every turn, so once you have run it twice you stop thinking about navigation entirely and start thinking about the only thing that matters out there, which is whether you are going to take the next lap.

This is as much a weekend as a race. Camping is on site and free for tents and cars, the Haulin' Hops beer truck is here all weekend, the Travelers Rest High School cheerleaders cook five hot meals as a fundraiser, and the music does not stop. Between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM the aid station goes quiet while volunteers rest, but the timing never does. Every finisher gets a medal, hundred-mile runners get a buckle, and your entry supports local nonprofits through the Giving Series.
