About The John Martins Foundation/RI Burn Foundation 3rd Annual 5k and 1k Race/Walk
The John Martins Foundation and the RI Burn Foundation have come together to raise funds for burn survivors! We are raising money for advanced laser equipment to be purchased for the burn unit at Rhode Island Hospital! This equipment costs over $250,000 and its use is to help those who suffered severe burn damage, get the reconstructive surgery they need to help reduce the amount of scar tissue from their injuries. All funds raised will go towards funding this equipment!
Registration opens at 8:30am and 5k race will start at 10:00am and 1k race will start 5 minutes after.
There will be the option to purchase a race day T-shirt when registering for an additional fee.
Please Note: The 5k/1k Race will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for this race, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

Upon completion of our inaugural 5k race/walk, you will be able to take home a custom made finishers medal as a reminder of race and the journey you took to complete it!
