About The Legacy 100
Legacy 100 is a ride through mostly back roads in the beautiful painted churches area of Texas, with our beneficiary being the Alzheimer’s Association (via Ride to End ALZ - Texas). We have multiple distances to choose from and a staggered start based on distance. There will be fresh kolaches and locally-brewed coffee before the ride (while supplies last). After the ride, a meal will be provided for all riders/volunteers, and we'll have some games such as cornhole for folks that want to relax and play.
***This is a ride, not a race, there will be no chip-timing (so as maximize money going towards life-extending research) or awards. However, all riders will receive a recognition item (TBD) of their completion of the ride.
Riders are welcome to drop down in distance on ride day free of charge, just make sure you download the correct route (as route arrows can sometimes be moved or vandalized). Riders moving up in distance will need to change their registration and pay the difference in cost (Please be honest and do this, this is for charity y'all!).
The deadline to registe and be guaranteed a meal is 05/20/2026. We will have day-of registration, but we cannot guarantee a meal. You'll need to stop by the check-in table after you finish to see if we have extra meal tickets.
Routes
Please keep in mind, construction and other issues can sometimes necessitate a route modification. I will be sure to share any route changes with riders as early as possible. I would recommend waiting until a day or two before the ride to download the route to your device, just to make sure you have the most up-to-date route. There will be color-coded arrows from RouteArrows.com along the course as well, but understand those can sometimes get pulled up or driven over by motorists.

Teams
Register under a team name (your cycling club, business, school/etc) and receive the following incentives:
- Teams with 10 or more registered riders will be given a space near the start line to set up your canopy, where you can cheer on your teammates coming in, hang out and chat, and set up your own info table if so desired (there's also plenty of tables under the covered pavilion as well, if would prefer that in addition to or instead of a canopy). ONE WEEK before ride day, I will reach out to the #1 and give them 1st choice of spots, then #2 team will get second choice, and so on for 3/4/5. #6 and beyond (if they have at last 20 riders) will be able to choose one of several available spots on ride day.
- Team with most registered riders (minimum of 5) will receive a $100 Walmart gift card that can be used for future team party supplies, equipment needed, etc.
- Team with the second most registered riders (minimum of 5) will receive a $50 Walmart gift card that can be used for future team party supplies, equipment needed, etc
- Team with the 3rd most registered riders (minimum of 5) will receive a $25 Walmart gift card that can be used for future team party supplies, equipment needed, etc.
***Teams that wish to sponsor a water stop are welcome to put out whatever promo materials they'd like for their ride, do a theme, play their own music, etc. It's yours to do with as you please, as long as basic rider needs are being met. Wanna sponsor a water stop and get some great exposure for your cycling club, school, business, etc? Let's talk!
