About The Memorial Day Mile
Join Epic Racing Events as we continue the holiday tradition that was started by the Bird family. The Memorial Day Mile is a downhill competitive mile that starts downtown Columbia City and finishes at the Whitley County YMCA. The course follows Van Buren Street in a point to point race. The race will kick off the Annual Memorial Day Parade which starts at 10:15AM.
Packet Pick Up will be available starting at 8:30 AM on race day at our tent located on the courthouse Square located at 101 West Van Buren Street Columbia City, IN 46725.
The Start of the race will be just West of the courthouse on Van Buren Street and will run east on Van Buren before finishing by the Whitley Country YMCA. Post race refreshments and awards will be given at the finish line.
Parking will be available throughout Columbia City as well as at the finish at the YMCA, we ask that participants refrain from parking along Van Buren Street (Start line/Parade Route).
Awards will be presented to the Overall Male and Female and the Overall Masters Male and Female as well as the top 3 male/female finishers in each age group.
All runners will be eligible and overall awards will be based on gun time.
