The Men's Health Event 2025

Join the Michigan Men's Health Foundation for our 15th annual Men’s Health Event on September 20, 2025, at Ford Field from 9a-3p! Since our first Men’s Health Event in 2011, we have provided nearly 118,000 FREE life-saving screenings to over 10,000 attendees. We have helped countless men gain control over their health and identified critical illnesses including hypertensive crises, diabetes, and prostate cancer, to name a few.

The Men's Health Event will provide men with health screenings to assess their current health, give them a better understanding of how to stay healthy, and share information about advances in healthcare. All health screenings are FREE for men, no insurance necessary. Men age 18 and older will be eligible to receive health screenings.

Women and children are welcome to attend with the men they love, but are not eligible for health screenings or an event t-shirt. Please be sure non-male participants are registered using the "Women and Children Attendee" option. Women and children are able to receive vaccines.

Parking will be available in the Ford Field parking structure for $4. Please note that even if you see signage that states a higher price, the cost of parking for Men's Health Event attendees is only $4.

Come meet two Detroit Pistons icons! Mascot Hooper will join us from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by Pistons Legend Grant Long from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

• What is The Men's Health Event?
  • The Men's Health Event is dedicated to educating and empowering men on their health. The event provides free health screenings to men and community resources to all attendees.
• Can women and children attend?
  • Yes, women and children can attend the event with the men they love.
• Do I need to register for the event?
  • Yes, we ask that all participants register for the event. Men aged 18+ should use the Male Screening Participant option, while women and children should be registered under Women and Children Attendees. On-site registration is available.
• Do I need to attend at a certain time?
  • No, attendees can arrive anytime after the start time of 9am. Please note that the later you arrive, the less time you will have to get through health screenings.
• What time does the event end?
  • The event ends at 3pm. 
• Is parking available?
  • Yes, parking is available in the Ford Field Parking structure.
• How much is parking?
  • The Michigan Men's Health Foundation subsidizes parking to $4 for event attendees in the Ford Field Parking structure. Even if you see a sign out front for a higher amount, attendee parking is only $4.
• Where do I enter Ford Field?
  • All participants must enter at Gate G, which is directly across from the parking structure.
• Do I need to prepare for the blood draw?
  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!! Your draw will be easier if you're hydrated! You do NOT need to fast.
    
    
• How do I track my results?
  • All male participants will receive an event program, which has pages for you to record the results of your screenings. Blood draw results will be sent after the event.
• Can women and children get health screenings?
  • No, the health screenings are only open to men. Women and children can receive vaccines.
• Do women and children get event shirts?
  • No, event shirts are only for registered men.
• Is lunch included?
  • Yes, all attendees will be given a ticket to redeem for their free lunch. Please keep track of these once received at registration as we are not able to give duplicates.

• Can I fill out my Health Questionnaire prior to the event to save time at Registration?

• How will I get my blood draw results?
  • You will have the choice between electronic delivery OR mailed. If you choose electronic, you will be able to download, save, and print your results.
  • Liquid Biopsy Test - this test will not be included in the results above. If your test is abnormal, you will receive a phone call. If your test is normal, then no news is good news!

This page will be updated as screenings and activities are confirmed. We rely heavily on the generosity of community organizations and volunteers to provide screenings and activities. While we do our best to provide as many as possible, we appreciate your understanding if we are unable to provide a screening or activity we have advertised or provided in the past.

It is our mission to provide as many health screenings and wellness resources as possible. We are saddened to announce that due to increased costs, we have had to make the decision to put our funds toward screenings and will not have access to the field again this year. We appreciate your understanding! 

If you selected electronic delivery, you will receive an email to register for the Care Evolve portal to view, save, and print your results.

If you selected delivery by mail, this could take up to two weeks.

PLEASE NOTE - The PROSTest liquid biopsy was done by a different lab and results will take several weeks. If your result is abnormal, you will receive a phone call from a healthcare professional. If your result is normal you will not receive a phone call, so no news is good news!
