About The Possum at Woolly Hollow
Overview
The Possum at Woolly Hollow is a 6-hour, 4-person team running event at Woolly Hollow State Park on November 1st, 2025. It will be run on November 7th, 2026, with an 8:00 AM start time on the roads and Huckleberry trail circumnavigating Lake Bennett. This is a 6-hour team event involving four participating runners.
Rules
- Each team will be comprised of 4 team members. All 4 members must run the first loop together. After that any number of team members may run together (1-4) but must stay together for the entire loop.
- Each loop completed per runner will receive one entry into the post-race drawing.
- The team with the most entries automatically gets to select their prize for finishing first overall. In the event of a tie, the first placed finishing member of a team on loop 1 will be the tie-breaker.
- After the first overall team has selected their prize all remaining entries from all teams will be put in the drawing for 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
- No team can win more than once. If a team is drawn a 2nd time they will be discarded and another team drawn in their place.

Course
The race will start at the pavilion in the center of Woolly Hollow State Park and proceed counter-clockwise down the entrance road to the park to the spillway waterfall where you will take a left and follow the Huckleberry trail all the way around the lake to Gold Creek Loop and then return to the pavilion.
Cause
Kevin has been blessed to be able to serve in the same school in Honduras each year since his first trip there in 2018. Proceeds from this race will go toward projects to help this school and others like it continue to provide a better education for the children in Honduras
