Join us November 26th to celebrate the 20th Annual running of the Sparta Education Foundation Turkey Trot, presented by Krogh's. When you participate in the Turkey Trot, you support innovative educational grants made by the Sparta Education Foundation, whose mission is to promote educational excellence in Sparta Township’s public schools.

Our race results will be on Chip time (not gun time!) 
We heard your feedback, and are excited to offer more accurate results this year!

Last but not least, we’re going goody-bag free! 
Less stuff, less waste, and more time to enjoy the morning with your fellow trotters.

This event is a 5K Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. Awards will be given to finishers by age group (see below), including youth age group medals. All participants receive a t-shirt, while supplies last.

Awards for the top three (3) Male, Female and Non-Binary finishers Overall followed by the Top three (3) Male, Female, Non-Binary in the following Age categories: 5 and under, 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, and so on until 80+

The course is an out-and-back USATF-certified course starting and ending at Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta, NJ 07871. 

The Turkey Trot is a charity event for the Sparta Education Foundation; your support of the helps to fuel our mission.

There will be no refunds if this event is canceled due to reasons beyond our control. 

Packet pick-up and on-site registration will be in the main ballroom of the Lake Mohawk Country Club. You may PICK-UP YOUR RACE PACKET on Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 5-8 p.m. OR Thursday morning from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Check-in ends at 8:15 a.m. on race day.

Bib numbers are assigned at the time of registration. You can pick up other runners' packets but please be sure you get the packet to them. 

Pasta Party

All registered runners are invited to stay and enjoy the food at the pasta party on Wed., November 26 at 5-8 p.m. in the ballroom at the Lake Mohawk Country Club. Registered participants are free and guests are only $5.

Once you register for either the virtual 5K or 1M Fun Run, you will have from Thanksgiving Day until November 29th to run and submit your Virtual Results. To submit your results by midnight Nov. 29: simply select the Results tab, click the "Submit Virtual Results" button and lookup your entry. After which you will be transferred to the time entry page where you'll be able to submit your results.

If you will be running "virtually" on your own, we wanted to ensure you were truly motivated to put your best foot forward. The Sparta Education Foundation race committee in association with Tristate Timing has added a few local courses to the RunGo database! (Use of RunGo and the Krogh's course details can be found below). We've even included the Krogh's course if you wanted to run it virtually! Be sure to check out the list below before you go!
