Parking
There are several parking options for the race.
The game-winning play is this: Park in a city parking garage for $1 an hour. The city parking garages are located at:
Nevada & Kiowa, 127 E. Kiowa
Nevada & Colorado, 130 S.Nevada
Cascade & Bijou, 215 M. Cascade Ave.
It does take a few extra minutes to pay for the parking garage, especially if everybody is trying to enter the garage at the same time, thus please allow extra time if using this option. Here is a veteran move: Pay $5 for five hours in the parking garage. You'll have plenty of time to swing by Jack Quinn's after your race for our awards celebration and Super Bowl warm-up party. On-street parking is free on Sundays until 1 p.m., but you'll have to feed the meter afterward.
Course Information
The finish line will close at 1 p.m. However the race clock will remain running and the last aid station will stay open until all runners have finished.
There are four aid stations. Runners will pass through each aid station two times. There are porta potties at all aid stations.
Race Map PDF located below. There may be some small adjustments to the course this year near the finish line in America the Beautiful Park, but it remains mostly the same out-and-back on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.
Game Day 5K Course
The starting line is located on Colorado Ave. near the intersection with Tejon St. in downtown Colorado Springs. This is an out-and-back course that leads runners behind the Antler's Hotel to Sierra Madre St., then north to catch the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. The 5K turnaround is just south of Uintah St. On the way, you'll pass through our very rowdy "Tailgate Party Aid Station," where some runners have been known to linger. When you know, you'll know. Finish up at America the Beautiful Park.
This course is 3.13 miles, mostly flat and fast. There is one aid station and runners will hit it twice. There is one porta potty at the aid station.
Half Marathon Course
This is an out-and-back course starting on Colorado Ave., just west of Tejon St. in downtown Colorado Springs. Runners will run north on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. Turnaround is just south of the I-25 overpass, about 6.8 miles from the start. Finish at America the Beautiful Park. The course is fast with a slight elevation gain on the way out.
Post-race Celebration
Join us after your race at Jack Quinn's Irish Pub (21 S. Tejon) for our awards ceremony and a great runner party. We'll have some great live music, plus Super Bowl trivia and who-knows-what kind of shenanigans. The Jack Quinn's staff will serve its regular menu, plus a taco bar (great deal) along with all your favorite post-race drinks.
