Thrive San Diego Half Marathon & 5K

The Kaiser Permanente Thrive Half Marathon & 5K returns for its 10th year!

We’re excited to THRIVE with you on Saturday, November 14, 2026! More than just a race, it’s an invitation for the entire San Diego community to “Thrive” together—staying active, eating healthy, living well, and giving back. All courses start and finish at Ski Beach in Mission Bay, offering fast, flat stretches with beautiful Mission Bay views and refreshing ocean breezes.

Half Marathon: 

• Start Time: 7:15AM
• Experience 13.1 miles of scenic San Diego beauty on a loop course that starts on Ingraham Street, winds along Mission Bay, and finishes at Ski Beach. Enjoy fast, flat stretches, picturesque bay views, and refreshing ocean breezes as you chase your personal best.

Half Marathon Relay:

• Start Time: 7:15AM
• Take on the Half Marathon Relay with a partner and split the challenge of 13.1 miles! Each runner will cover approximately 6.5 miles before handing off the "baton" to your teammate at Telecote Shores. This scenic route along Crown Point starts on Ingraham St and finishes at Ski Beach in Mission Bay, featuring fast, flat stretches, breathtaking bay views, and refreshing ocean breezes.

5K:

• Start Time: 7:30AM
• The 5K is a scenic loop route along Crown Point that starts on Ingraham St and finishes at Ski Beach in Mission Bay.

Fundraising Incentives

Plan on joining the Thrive Half Marathon & 5K race on November 1st? 

Support the Make-A-Wish® San Diego by creating your individual fundraiser and participating in the race at no cost!

• Sign up for the race by choosing Charity Half Marathon/5K ticket.
• Commit to raising the $250 fundraising minimum, and the registration fee will be waived.
  • If you do not reach $250 in donations by November 5th, you will be prompted to agree to pay the difference after the race.
• Join or create your own Make-A-Wish San Diego Fundraising Team (if applicable)!
  • This will ensure your raised funds will go into your team's basket.
• Share your fundraiser on social media!

Whatever your reason is, we encourage you to invite friends and family to join. Plus, you can get a partial or full refund of your registration fee!

Here's How it Works: 
During the registration period, share your personal referral link with family and friends and you'll be credited as the referrer when your link is used to register. After registration closes, we'll confirm the total number of completed referrals made, and refund a portion of or all of your registration fee. Your personal referral link can be found in any of the following locations:

-> Within your confirmation email: the link will be located at the top of the email
-> Within your RunSignUp profile: scroll to the bottom of your profile and select My Referrals under the Runner Links section
-> Within the confirmation page following registration: the "Refer Your Friends" link will be located at the top of the page

Refunds:
5 Referrals = $25 of your registration fee refunded
10 Referrals = 100% of your registration fee refunded
