Charity
In its 14th year, The BRA Run supports Evelyn’s BFF, a charity that helps breast cancer survivors get back to their new normal while supporting counseling, reconstruction, and other items that people are often not able to get covered by their insurance. Most of our grant recipients have bills going into 6 figures! This event is the biggest fundraiser for this all volunteer organization and determines how many people they can help this year.
Evelyn, the founder of the Evelyn's Breast Friends Forever (BFF), a 501(c)3 non-profit public benefit charity foundation, started this event in 2013 and in her honor we have a 5K and a 13K at the BRA Run.
Join us for Evelyn's party so we all can help other breast cancer survivors and their families. Our event spreads awareness of breast cancer reconstruction to the community by encouraging men and women to run and walk in their BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) in honor and in memory of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Donate to Evelyn's BFF.

Race Day Directions
Please take note that Playa Del Rey will be closed to the north of Imperial because for our event. Your GPS app might not have this temporary closure in their system. To get to the event you must come from the 105 down Imperial to the beach or from the south on Playa Del Rey.
LA County charges $13 for parking at the beach, bring cash.
The line to pay backs up so arrive early. Let the attendant know you're with the event.
Directions
Once you enter the beach, after you pay, go to the right.
There are three parking lots, the event starts on Playa Del Rey, on the bluff, above the parking lot. All events end in the third and last lot.
If you need to leave before 10:30am DO NOT park in the third lot, park in one of the first two and walk down to the event. If you park in the 3rd lot, you will have to wait to leave until after the race because you have to cross the course and we can't have you doing that while people are still finishing their walk.

Survivors & Thrivers
If you are a breast cancer survivor or thriver, you will get a special bib that gives you access to the Survivors & Thrivers Lounge on race day.
The lounge includes food and beverages as well as chairs and guests will also receive a special gift from Evelyn’s BFF.
If you are a survivor or a thriver, please click on the head in the upper right hand corner of this page and select sign in. From the drop down menu, click on the Torrance Memorial Medical Center BRA Run in your list of events and click the button to have your confirmation email resent. At the bottom of that email it will say how you answered the question “Are You A Breast Cancer Survivor” and "Are You a Breast Cancer Thriver."
