This is for a ONE-WAY bus transportation to the 2026 New York City Marathon start line area at Fort Wadesworth in Staten Island, NY

6:50 a.m. Depart Rahway - SHARP! *ARRIVE EARLY*

7:45 a.m. Arrive Ft. Wadesworth, Staten Island (approximate time)

Why Rahway?

Ample FREE street parking available. No need to feed the parking meter on Sunday. There is also a paid parking garage just a block away.

Rahway station is served by multiple NJ Transit lines: North Jersey Corridor and New Jersey Coast Line.  This means more train options and more frequency. This also means your return trip from NY Penn station is just a short train ride back to your car in Rahway.

FREE PARKING:
In addition to ample FREE on-street parking, the City of Rahway is pleased to offer us FREE parking access to their "F Lot" conveniently located at the bottom of the staircase of the southbound NJ Transit platform. CAN'T GET ANY CLOSER THAN THIS AFTER RUNNING 26.2 MILES!

F Lot faces the train station southbound platform. Adjacent to Colombia Bank lot. Your GPS will take you Columbia Bank but b sure to park in the municipal lot next/behind the bank at the intersection of W. Cherry and Broad)

REFUND:

As runners ourselves, we understand that life gets in the way sometimes, so we offer very generous and flexible refund policy.
- FULL refund until August 1st. No questions asked!
- after August 1st, we will only honor your refund request if you drop out of the NYC Marathon event or in case of medical emergency with a doctor's note.
- please do not ask us to transfer your spot to your friends or family. If you signed the waiver, only you will be allowed to board the bus. No exceptions! 
Please understand that we have a large sum of funds already invested in organizing this transportation option, so your support and understanding is greatly appreciated. 

FAQ:

What if I miss the bus due to traffic or need to get in touch with you on the race morning?
We HIGHLY advise you allow ample travel and parking time.  We will be monitoring our mailbox (Bus2Marathon@gmail.com) and also an email with a bus hotline will be sent via email a day before.

How do I get back to my car after the race?
After your marathon, take uber or train to NJ Transit station conveniently located in midtown at the south end of NY Penn Station.  Rahway station is served by both the North Jersey Corridor and New Jersey Coast Line (see njtransit.com for schedule and fare info). You must purchase your train ticket via ticket vending machine prior to boarding or on NJ Transit mobile app.
Pro Tip: Board front of the train if you are parked in the F lot or rear of the train if you utilized street parking on Irving St. by Northfield Bank area. 

I am not parking in Rahway and/or not returning to Rahway via train (e.g. arriving Rahway via train from other areas or getting dropped off), can I leave my extra layer of clothing on the bus?
No. The bus will return to its respective garage after dropping off runners in Staten Island.
