May I Bring my Pet(s)?

What Will the Weather Be Like?
This race is in the middle of winter. Temps average mid 20’s at night and mid to high 40’s during the day. However it could be bitterly cold or a balmy 60 degrees. It usually rains about a third of the month. Snow is a distinct possibility also. So be prepared for any condition and you probably won’t be disappointed! If forecasted conditions are of significant concern, the race will be postponed until the following weekend. That decision will typically be made at least 48 hours prior to the event, but could be less.

Weather Delay Date
Due to weather conditions (after all, this is the middle of January!), the race is subject to being postponed. So by registering, you are accepting the fact that the if the race has to be postponed, the make-up date will be Jan. 31, 2026 (conditions permitting). There will be no refunds if you cannot participate on the make up date since that date has already been advertised. By registering, you are accepting that you will be available if this make-up date is necessary or you will forego participating.

What Will the Weather Be Like?
This race is in the middle of winter. Temps average mid 20's at night and mid to high 40's during the day. However it could be bitterly cold or a balmy 60 degrees. It usually rains about a third of the month. Snow is a distinct possibility also. So be prepared for any condition and you probably won't be disappointed!

See the event website for further details.

Leadership Team

Brian and Shelly as well as Gordon and Arden are taking over the reins of two large events that are long time favorites with many runners, both here in the U.S.A & Internationally.

Learn a little about Brian & Shelly &  Ultranaut Running is a small, grass-roots organization based in Knoxville, Tennessee started by Brian and Shelley Gajus and race directors of the Yamacraw Trail Runs and the No Business 100. In 2014 they started Ultranaut Running with the simple mission to just get people active in the outdoors. Since then, they have grown in more ways than one. We now have 5 kids (Adelaide, Eliza, Gwendolyn, Ingrid, and Grant) who keep them constantly busy and on their toes while still working full-time jobs and everyday commitments. They’ve also grown through their events and the impact they have had on them. Though their simple goal to just get people active and outdoors still remains to this day, they have come to see it’s even more than that. It’s about bringing friends, families, communities together to share in life changing moments, build new friendships, and leave a positive impact on the land.

Learn a Little about Gordon & Arden Turner of Bluegrass Endurance.  Gordon has been a race timer and coordinator for Good Times Event Services for approximately 10 years His resume of events includes Ultras, Marathons, Half-Marathons, Mud Runs, Triathlons,  10K’S, 5K’S &  1 Mile Events. He has worked with many Race Directors on a vast array of service from the registration process all the way to race day operations. He as also been a Race Director for 10 Years helping support several non-profits through their signature running events.  He enjoys seeing individuals meet there goals through running and walking!  In his words, “Seeing Individuals achieve there goals makes it all worth it whether its there first event or there 100th.  When you put your mind to it & complete that goal make it all worth it.

Gordon has been a husband of Arden for 20 years.  Gordon, Arden and their three children are all runners.  An active lifestyle is in their DNA. Gordon hopes to continue building friendships through this new venture and new community, and to be a positive impact to each and every participant.

Both couples are motivated, hard working and philanthropic.  Their dedication to the running community and their genuine care for people is what brought their joint venture together and it is what will allow the endeavor to thrive and pay huge dividends for OUR RUNNING COMMUNITY.Check out some of the other events that these race director have in their portfolio of successful events:  The Burnside Mile, Yamacraw Trail Runs, No Business 100.
