YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase and the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary are proud to invite you to the 44th Annual Turkey Chase Charity Race! Join the thousands of participants from Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and worldwide who’ve raised millions of dollars for kids in our community! Run, Walk, Swim, or Bike! - Whether you want to participate in person or virtually, everyone can be a part of this 40+ year community tradition!
Fundraise for kids! - Start a social media fundraiser encouraging your family and friends to follow your lead and support safe spaces and programs that help every child thrive. Top fundraisers in each category will get special recognition, photo opportunities, and YMCA swag!

History of the Turkey Chase
The Turkey Chase Charity Run originated in 1982 in partnership with the YMCA Bethesda Chevy Chase and Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary. This year’s Turkey Chase Charity Run will benefit more youth and families in the metropolitan area. The Y’s Turkey Chase is one of the largest 10K's in the metropolitan area and the largest fundraiser for the YMCA and Rotary.
Packet Pickup
All race bibs and t-shirts will be picked up at the YMCA Bethesda Chevy Chase - 9401 Old Georgetown Road Bethesda, MD 20814.
- 11/24 Tuesday: 10:00AM to 8:00PM
- 11/25 Wednesday: 10:00AM to 8:00PM
- 11/26 Thursday: 6:30AM to 8:45AM

Participants, Family & Friends can all use Live Results to share in the excitement. On race day, spectators can get status of participants in real-time using the Live Tracker & Leaderboard. Details such as time, pace, estimated finish & official results will be instantly available!
Note: the 2 Mile Walk will not be in the mobile app as it is an un-timed event.

The following awards will be given out for the 10K race on race day.
- Top 3 Male/Female/Non-Binary Overall
- Top 3 Male/Female Masters
- Top 3 Male/Female in Age Groups:
- 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
The 2 Mile walk is not timed and no awards will be given out.

1. Download Your Digital Race Bib
Download your personal digital race bib! Feel free to print it out and use on your run, walk or bike! Or take a photo and share it with us!
Ways to Download:
- Log into your RunSignUp.com account & click on Profile > Upcoming Events > View Digital Bib > Print
- Look up your entry here and click on your bib number on the left.
2. Setup your Race Profile on the RTRT Remote Racing App!
OPTION 1: We are providing you with the RTRT Remote Racing App as part of the official race experience for the Virtual Turkey Chase. You will use your mobile device to complete the virtual event! You will receive a Connect & Claim email from 'Turkey Chase Charity Race' (email from address: no-reply@rtrt.me) with detailed instructions on how to get the App and connect your race profile.
OPTION 2: You can alternatively download the app FIRST and then search for the Virtual Turkey Chase event and find your runner profile. There is a claim button that you can then use to verify your account. CLICK HERE to download the app.
Did you register multiple people using the same email address? Please download the app first on each device and then follow the OPTION 2 instructions above.
Are you running together as a family? Use one device to track everyone! You must claim a profile on at least 1 person. Next you will search for everyone ‘Running with You’ and select the RUNNING WITH ME button on their profile. You will need to then verify their DOB to complete. SWIMMERS- since you cannot swim with the app you can record your time and use the 'Self Report' option after selecting the 'import' button on your profile in the app.
Are you running/walking on a treadmill? You will have the option to manually submit a finish time in the app. You will still need to connect your race profile in the app using the above instructions.
3. Complete your Virtual Event Submit Your Race Photos!
