Join us for Turning Point's Annual Tara's 5K Run & Walk.

About Tara: Turning Point and Tara's sister formed a partnership to honor her memory after Tara was tragically murdered in Macomb County by her husband in 2007. Sharing Tara's life story through this partnership increases awareness about the prevalence and dangers of domestic violence and helps prevent other families from experiencing a similar tragedy.
About Turning Point: Turning Point provides free, confidential services that are inclusive and accessible to reflect all the unique needs and
identities of those who have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence, or human trafficking. Services include a
24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, housing, counseling, legal advocacy, personal protection order support, forensic
nurse and first response advocacy, prevention, and community education. In addition to these programs, Turning
Point operates Second Hand Rose, a resale store that offers gently used merchandise to the community to support
survivors and the agency’s mission.
Turning Point Mission: Turning Point empowers survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking through comprehensive services and resources while advocating for community action to end oppression and violence.

Event activities are located under the large covered pavilion. Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the pavilion.
