IN-PERSON race FAQ's

Q: What time does race start/gun time?

A: Race starts promptly at 8:30am Please see next FAQ about when and how to arrive.

Q: Where do I park/ how do I get to the Start?

A: Parking for the event is located at 1000 First Ave, (1 mile from the Park).  Shuttle buses will be operating from 6:30am - 11:00am to take  participants and spectators to and from the Park. Shuttle transport will be suspended from 8:00 am until 10:30am during the running of the race.  The first shuttle back to the parking lot from the park will leave at 10:30. This service needs to be suspended during the event ,as the course crosses over the entrance/exit road.

Q: Parking Passes- who needs them?

A:  Parking passes are issued to registrants who will have a stroller or dog with them. REMEMBER: no dogs or strollers are permitted on the race course. They are permitted for the walk event only.  Those who have requested a parking pass will be able to park in the park because the dogs and strollers are not permitted on the shuttles.  Parking passes come with a few rules: you must be in the park  by 7:45am before the gate closes for the race.  There is no vehicular traffic from 8am- 10:30am. If you have a pass and are parked in the park you must remain in the park until the all clear is given, approx 10:30. No exceptions.

Q:  Can I UBER or  be dropped off at the entrance?

A:  Please do not plan on being dropped off at the entrance or along Rt 23. This causes  a dangerous situation with  the crush of entries of the shuttle and cars needing to enter  the park.   We suggest you Uber to the shuttle lot on First ave and take the shuttle over to the park.

Whichever way you choose, we are proud that you have chosen to engage in your own perseverance and determination just like our Continental Army did on the very same grounds!

You are making a difference for those who will come to experience the park and its awesomeness long after you logged your miles.

Q:  Do I have to submit my results?

A:  No, submitting results is not required, but seeing your name on the virtual results board is priceless!  For those who don't wish to enter the time for your 5-mile journey, you can still indicate that you completed the 5 miles without providing an actual time. We'll just assume you're stealth....

Q:  How do I keep track of my time?

A: The easiest way is by downloading the RaceJoy app because of the audio cues it will give you; and once you complete the 5 miles, your time can be submitted right then and there from the app.  Other methods include using a good old-fashioned stopwatch or any tracking tool such as Garmin, Strava, Runkeeper, etc.
