VanderDash

Proceeds raised from VanderDash directly impact our students, teachers, and staff. We want to be prepared to fund playground and classroom improvements, as well as all the wonderful programs that we love at Vanderlyn.

IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN REGISTERING: Please only enter the teacher’s name when registering a current Vanderlyn student.  Parents and other relatives should be registered as a “Parent/Community Member”, NOT under a teacher’s name.  Anyone registered incorrectly under a teacher’s name will be disqualified from the class competition.

Registration Costs:

Bib number pickup for the 5k is in the gym on race morning from 7am to 8:15am.  Race Day registration is available via QR code. Credit card or debit card only.

$25 per person which includes a race shirt if registered by February 15, 2026.

$150 for a Family Sponsorship - includes five (5) entries and five race shirts, your family name on the race website, and a yard sign to proudly display your contribution to Vanderlyn. Your Family Sponsorship donation to the VanderDash is tax deductible to the extent of the law. 

 

VanderDash is a certified  Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.

 

Can I get a refund?  

• Sorry, no refunds will be issued for any reason.

Can I exchange my t-shirt for a different size?

• Sorry, no exchanges. We recommend that you size up if you are in between sizes

Where should I park? 

• Please park at Dunwoody High School or Dunwoody Elementary and take the walking path.  There will be no parking on Vanderlyn Dr or at Vanderlyn Elementary.

Where do the races begin?  

• All races will start at Vanderlyn Elementary, 1877 Vanderlyn Drive, on the left side of the school - look for the arch. 

What time do the races begin?  

• 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:00 am, 5K will start promptly at 8:30 am, .  Awards will be give out at 9:30 am.

Do I need to check in when I arrive?  

• Yes, check in at the left side of the school upon arrival and pick up your race bib, goody bag, and tshirt.

Can I register on race day?  

• Yes, you may register for $30/person at the registration table, but t-shirts are not guaranteed and may not be available. Cash or check only.

Can I bring a stroller, bike or scooter?  

• Strollers are welcome. However, we ask that you stay to the back of the starting group for the safety of all runners. Bikes and scooters are NOT allowed on the racecourse.

Can I bring my pet?  

• Sorry, no pets are allowed for safety and allergy concerns.

What happens after the race?  

• The Award Presentation will begin at 9:30 am. Please visit our sponsor display tables.

Important Notes:

• Please remember to be considerate of our neighbors along the race course by refraining from littering or walking across private lawns.
• Restrooms will be open in the gym.
• A water stop will be located at the halfway mark during the 5K on Vermack Court.
• The race director reserves the right to cancel any part or whole of the race due to inclement weather or dangerous conditions. Sorry, no refunds will be issued for any reason.
