Veterans Day Run/Walk

Join us for the 10th Annual Veterans Day 5K at Soldier's Memorial in Downtown St. Louis on Saturday, November 8, 2025! We welcome wheelchairs, strollers, and dogs on the race path, too!  All proceeds from the event go to St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, where their purpose is to transform lives through sustainable housing, employment, and healthcare. Last year, because of the generous contributions of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the agency assisted 4,223 clients total, of which 813 were Veterans. St. Patrick Center was able to connect 89 veterans with jobs and place 743 veterans and their families in permanent housing. 

All because of the support of our donors, sponsors and volunteers, several programs are dedicated solely to helping Veterans and their families get back on their feet. Through their contributions, Project HERO, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the U.S. Veterans Administration, is able to work with Veterans to improve their overall quality of life through mental health counseling, transportation access, and employment services. This program is housed at Freedom Place, a 50-unit apartment complex reserved for male Veterans experiencing homelessness along with substance abuse disorders and/or mental health issues. Due to these efforts, the St. Louis community becomes a better place for everyone to live and work because of the lives transformed through sustainable housing, employment, and healthcare.

As part of our Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk this year, we are including an option for you to participate in our Fundraiser to End Veteran Homelessness. This is your chance to take a stand against Veteran homelessness by having people in your network donate to your fundraiser through your social media channels and websites. 1. From the top of the main webpage, click Become a Fundraiser

2. On the Become a Fundraiser page, enter Your Individual Fundraiser Name

3. Enter Your Fundraiser Goal (must be at least $500)

4. Create a Tagline if you want

5. Create Your Custom Fundraiser URL

6. Choose your image for your fundraiser

7. Create a Personal Message Heading if you want to have a title above your Personal Message to Display on Your Fundraiser Page

8. Edit your Personal Message to Display on Your Fundraiser Page if you like

9. Click to button, Set Up Fundraiser

10. Once you set up your fundraiser, click the button Donate at the top left of the page if you would like to make a donation

11. Share your fundraiser link on your social media channels, business website (if you have one) and share the word about your fundraiser with your contacts

If you meet your fundraiser goal, your registration fee for the race will be automatically waived. 

Mailing your packet is included in your registration.

Virtual runners who register after 10/19 will receive their packets after November 8th!

Here’s how to participate in the Virtual 5K 
 

• Access your Digital Bibs from your RunSignup Profile by clicking the View Digital Bib link under their Upcoming Events
• Get out there (safely) and run a fast 5K – anywhere you want – from November 1 thru November 15
• Submit Your Virtual Results - Once you have completed your race, self-report your virtual results by clicking on Results, choosing 2025 Virtual 5K Run/Walk Results Set and then clicking on the Submit Virtual Results button.

Can't make it to a packet pick up, or just want your Veterans Day packet mailed to you? You can add mailing of your packet(s) for a $10 shipping fee, this is an optional add-on that can be selected when registering. You must register by Oct. 19 to be guaranteed delivery of you packet by Race Day.
