About Victory Over Violence Walk/Run
The 29th Annual Victory Over Violence Walk/Run takes place Saturday April 18, 2026. This USATF certified 5K Walk/Run and a 1K Fun Run starts at Trinity Park Duck Pond near downtown Fort Worth and winds through Trinity Park. T-shirt, food, beverages, a huge children’s area and more are included.
Benefits the anti-violence programs of The Women’s Center of Tarrant County. The Women's Center serves over 100,000 each year by inspiring and empowering women, men and children to overcome violence, crisis and poverty.

Every race is a little bit different, so we receive many questions about the dates, rules, and norms of Victory Over Violence. The questions below are the ones we’re asked most often.
Are pets allowed at the race?
For the safety of all participants, pets, rollerblades, and bikes are not allowed. Thank you for your cooperation.
How do I register?
Please note, we are paperless. For your convenience, you can register online through race day! You will need to register with your own personal device during Packet Pick-up or Race Day.
How do I register a team?
Click Group/Teams selection at the top of our page. Team members will need to search for their Team Name and continue through registration process. Please note to be considered a School Team you must be organized on behalf of a K-12 school. To be eligible for the Largest School Team Award over ½ of the team members must be youth from the school. * Teams that need to submit paper forms, require an invoice to make a payment, or that would like to pay with cash or check can contact the event manager at info@vovfw.org or (817) 927-4006.
What is the deadline for submitting a team?
All teams must be registered by Monday, April 1.
Are strollers allowed at the race?
Strollers are permitted, but must start at the back of the race.
I am collecting donations to support The Women’s Center. Where and how do I turn in the contributions?
Complete the 2024 Be A Fundraiser form. You may bring the form and donations to The Women’s Center the week of the race (April 8 – 12) or bring the form and donations on race day to the Information & Donations Tent. For helpful tips on fundraising click here!
Can I fundraise online by creating a personal fundraising page and bring in donations that I have collected?
Yes. We will combine the total of your online fundraising with what you have collected to determine prizes.
When will the fundraising winners be announced?
We will announce the winners and hand out prizes at the race.
I have a conflict and cannot make the race. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds. All t-shirts must be picked up prior to the race. T-shirts cannot be mailed.
