The mission of Run Like A Mother® is to fuel a woman's journey through health and wellness, empower with education and training programs, inspire with communities, events and races, and enable through programs and partnerships.

Run Like A Mother ® isn't just a Race, it’s our way of life.

We are every woman, from every walk or run of life, gathering together (virtually) to encourage a healthy lifestyle through moving.

On Mother’s Day weekend, we celebrate who we are and what we do. 

Whether you are a mother or not, we understand the importance of modeling healthy behaviors for our future generations. 

Most importantly, it is the caring of our own bodies and minds that make us stronger every day.

Virtual Registration Shipping Details

• If you register by May 1st at midnight, we will ship your runner gifts (shirt, medal, race bib) before Mother's Day weekend. If you registered after May 1st  at midnight your gifts will be shipped after May 12, 2024.

• Anytime From May 12th to May 16th get moving to run or walk your 5k...you pick the time and the place (please pick a safe place). Treadmills are ok!

• Prior to Mother's Day Weekend, we will send you instructions on how to report your time and become an official finisher.

• Claim your digital finisher badge, share it with the world, and Celebrate! Post photos to Facebook or Instagram and be sure to tag us so we can share with the world! Use #runlikeamother #
  
  

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race is a race in which you decide when and where you get to run. People run virtual races for many reasons! Maybe you have a prior commitment at the same time as the in-person race, maybe you want to prove to yourself you can do it (hint: You can!), or maybe you don't like large crowds... whatever the reason, a virtual race is a perfect fit.

This year we ask that you run your 5K anytime between May 5th and Mother's Day May 12, 2024! 

 You'll also have access to the Run Like a Mother training plans, and the Run Like a Mother Race Community on Facebook,  Strava, and  Instagram. We can't wait to see your accomplishments!

RULES & FAQ

• Please obey the pedestrian rules of the road.

• Use sidewalks. In most states, if there is a sidewalk available, pedestrians are legally obligated to use them.

  If no sidewalks are available, run FACING oncoming traffic, never have traffic coming from behind you.

  Just because you see the car, doesn’t mean they see you. Never assume they see you.

• Wear bright clothing and make yourself overly visible.

• We strongly discourage running with earbuds/earphones. If you must run with music, use only one earbud or use the type of headphones that do not go in your ears.

• If you choose to run with dogs or strollers, you must still obey the rules of the road and use extra caution.

• It should go without saying but don’t litter. 

• Can I wear my shirt when I run? Represent!  Of course, wear the Run Like a Mother tee, or whatever you feel comfortable in.

• Can my friends run with me? Only if you practice guidelines for safe social distancing set forth by your state/municipality.
