Lace up your sneakers and get your purple on!  This isn’t just a race—it’s a FUN RUN! Enjoy a scenic jaunt through the residential district, admire the historic homes, and catch those mountain vibes as you head toward the Pulaski Trail before sauntering back to the heart of downtown.  Everyone is invited to the party: 

~Pro runners looking to leave us in the dust 

~Power walkers and casual saunterers 

~Stroller-pushing parents 

~Pups on leashes (the more the merrier!)

Whether you’re leading the pack or bringing up the rear, it’s the most invigorating way to kick off your day. Plus, every registered runner scores an official commemorative t-shirt and a token for a legendary Huckleberry Breakfast or Lunch at the Brooks Hotel.

Pricing includes a commemorative t-shirt (larger sizes are an additional fee) and a huckleberry breakfast or lunch token. 

Please note: huckleberry lunch token can only be redeemed on Saturday, 8/15, 12:00pm - 3:00pm.  Breakfast will be available Sat, 8/15 and Sun, 8/16 from 7:00am - 11:00am

All registrations sold as a pack only and cannot be broken up.  To guarantee your shirt size, you MUST register by Wed, 8/5/26. Registrations after this date will have limited shirt size options.

Small, wild, and packing a serious punch—there’s nothing quite like a huckleberry!  We love these tart-sweet gems any way we can get them, but let’s be real: they’re at their absolute best when baked into a mouthwatering dessert. Think you’ve got the magic touch? It’s time to prove it!  Tie up that apron and preheat the oven because the Huckleberry Bake Off is officially on. We’re looking for the next Best Huckleberry Baker, and the stakes are high... Tight Competition: Bring your A-game!  Serious Judges: They’ve got the palate of pros!  Ultimate Bragging Rights: Wear the crown for a full year!
Whip up your signature huckleberry masterpiece and let’s see if you can take home the win!

 

 

BAKE-OFF COMPETITION RULES AND INFORMATION

The Huckleberry Bake-Off will be held on Saturday, August 15th

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER ONLINE!  -  Registration is limited to the first 25 entrants

 

The Rules:

• Entries are to be delivered between 9:00am and 9:30am on Saturday, August 15th to Samuel’s Park.  Judging will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The winner will be announced at 12:15pm.

• Entry Fee is $10, submitted online with your entry form.  All entry fees will be used for prize money.

• One Entry per contestant.

• Submissions must be home cooked (not store bought).

• All baked goods must be fully baked and complete.

• Bakers must use their own dish and decorations.

• Any leftover items will be the property of the contestants.

• Baked goods requiring refrigeration will not be accepted.

• Please do not bring add-ons to your recipes. For example, no ice cream, dips or accompanying butters or spreads. If something is to be added, it should be a part of the specific dish, not something the judge is expected to “add on” ie. frosting is acceptable as it is prepared on the baked good, while butter is not, as the judge would need to “add” it to the dish.

• Contestants must submit an ingredient list with their entry.

• Ingredients will only be shared with judges.  

• To remain anonymous for the fairness of judging, contestant names will not be shared with the judges.

The Scoring System: 

• Each contestant will be assigned a number for judging. Submissions will be judged on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest.

• Contestants will be judged on taste, texture, appearance and creativity. 

• The Contest Committee will tally all of the ballots. The contestant with the highest score will be the winner. 

Prizes:

• 1st Place:  Trophy, Event T-Shirt and Cash Prize (determined by # of entry fees)

• 2nd Place:  Trophy and Huckleberry Event T-Shirt, Huckleberry Haus Cookbook

• 3rd Place:  Trophy and Huckleberry Festival Event Pin, Huckleberry Haus Cookbook

   

WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED THE DAY OF THE CONTEST. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

Welcome, pie lovers, fruit fanatics, and purple-faced champions of all ages!
The Ultimate Huckleberry Cream Pie Showdown is about to happen!  We are throwing etiquette out the window. No forks. No napkins. Just pure, unadulterated huckleberry madness.

The Mission: Devour a mountain of wild huckleberries and whipped cream.
The Rule: Keep your hands firmly behind your back.
The Goal: Clean your plate using only your face.

We're welcoming pint-sized Little Berry Monsters, ready to prove that sugar rushes equal speed, as well as Grown-Up Gobblers willing to put their dignity on the line for ultimate bragging rights.  Who will emerge with the purple-ribbon smile?

The Fine Print:

Entry is limited to the first 12 in each age category

Every participant and/or their parent/guardian must sign a Release of Liability

Contest will be judged by the Huckleberry Festival committee

Winner in each age category will receive a medal and a certificate for an official Wallace Huckleberry t-shirt

Get ready for a weekend built for the young and the young at heart!  At the Wallace Huckleberry Festival, family is at the center of everything we do. We’ve worked hard to create a world of wonder where kids can be kids and parents can actually relax. Our mission? Helping you make those "remember when" memories that last a lifetime.
We've got the ultimate kid-approved plan:
~Explore the Town: Wander the historic streets and soak in the magic.
~Treat Yourself: Grab a towering ice cream cone (huckleberry, obviously!).
~Get a New Look: Stop by the face painting station for some artistic flair.
~The Family Fun Zone: Burn off that sugar with bounce houses, lawn games, and non-stop action!
Come for the huckleberries, stay for the laughs, and bounce the afternoon away in the heart of downtown.

 

 

 

The Family Fun Zone is located on The Northern Pacific Railroad Depot Lawn. 

Join us for a berry good time featuring bounce houses, bubbles, giant yard games, and more! 

Please note that ALL bouncers will need to have a Release of Liability signed by a parent/guardian.

Cosmic Wagon is an Idaho/Montana-based country and bluegrass band built around the high-energy fiddle and songwriting of Matt Renner, a two-time Idaho State Adult Fiddle Champion. Blending old-time fiddle tunes, bluegrass, classic country, and original songs, the band delivers an unique sound perfect for dancing, listening, and everything in between.

Tim Snodgrass 9:00am - 12:30pm

Tim Snodgrass featuring Dave Olson is an acoustic two piece band. Covering light rock & roll, old, and new country music.  Dave Olson is a long time Inland Northwest percussionist.  Just watching him you can tell he loves what he does.  Tim Snodgrass plays guitar and sings tenor with a clarity to his voice.  Enjoy listening to songs people can relate to and add a little light to your day.

A high-energy Coeur d'Alene rock n roll cover band playing uptempo hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and NOW!

Andru Gomez 9:00am - 11:00am

Andru Gomez is an acoustic Americana singer songwriter blending blues, rock, and Spanish gypsy influences, built around guitar and harmonica.  Based in the Pacific Northwest, he performs regularly in wineries and lounges across Washington and Idaho, maintaining a consistent live schedule while continuing to write and release new material.  Hear him on Spotify and all streaming platforms.

 

 

Ben Barton 12:00pm - 3:00pm

Ben Barton is a blues guitarist based in Moscow, Idaho. Drawing on his roots in Mississippi and Memphis, Ben's music reflects the rich traditions of the Mississippi Hill Country and the Delta while adding his own distinctive touch. His evocative guitar work and authentic vocals bridge the gap between classic Hill Country blues and modern interpretations.
