WARRIOR RUSH 5K - 10K - Half Marathon 13.1 (Chicagoland)

Get ready for an exhilarating day of fitness and fun at the Warrior Rush 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon 13.1 taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the scenic Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL.  Our charity for this event is Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. 

This event is perfect for runners of all levels, offering a choice of distances to fit your skill and ambition. Participants can look forward to a fantastic race experience featuring chip-timing with live results, custom medals, and a stylish soft ring-spun cotton T-shirt included with registration. After crossing the finish line, enjoy complimentary snacks and the opportunity to capture your accomplishments with event photos.

Run through the beautiful prairie of the Danada-Herrick Lake Regional Trail on the crushed limestone trail!  

The Start/Finish line is near the horse track. The route consists of an out-and-back course for all distances. 

We do offer the Half Marathon distance for this event. The route consists of two laps on an out-and-back course. The distance for each lap is 6.55 miles. Each trip is marked approximately at the 3.275 miles. 

There will be water stations at the 5K, 10K and 1/2 Marathon turn around points.  Cheers!

There will be two areas for parking: 

(1) DuPage County Forest Preserve District Headquarters  (3S580 Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189)

(2) Danada Equestrian Center - Forest Preserve District of DuPage County  (3S507 Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189)

On site/Online registration will be available on race day (6:30 - 7:45 am).

Packet pickup will be on race day only (6:30 - 7:45 am) by the DuPage County Forest Preserve District Headquarters.  (3S580 Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189)

Are strollers allowed? You are welcome to use a stroller for this event but it is not recommended due to uneven ground on the course and children in strollers can participate for free and do not need to register.

Is the race dog friendly? Dogs are welcome, but they must remain on a leash at all times. Clean after them, please. 

Is whining allowed? If you are not pushing a stroller or not wearing a weight vest, probably not. Save the drama for the lama.  lol :p

Is the race on if it rains? Come on now, you signed up for the Warrior Rush Challenge. Rain and whine are not a good combo, but the race is on rain or shine! Bring some extra dry clothes and shoes just in case. 

What's the deal if I miss the race? If you can not make it, we can ship your packet. No Refunds. Just make sure to get your run at Danada F.P or wherever you enjoy your runs. 

Is the event spectator friendly? Yes! Family, friends, and friends of friends are always welcome.  We definitely need some cheerleaders for our warriors!

If my friends or family members get bored waiting for me, can they volunteer while I run? ABSOLUTELY, YES!  

Is the race chip timed? Yes! All the divisions are chip timed. Professionally timed by J3 Timing  

Will I get lost? Nope, the course will be highly marked.  Stay alert and keep them eyes on the signs.  Each division has turn around points.  If you register for the 5K and end up doing the 10K, congrats you are a true warrior and deserve a beer when you get home. 

May I bring my own food and/or hydration stuff?  We will have free snacks and water at the finish line, but yes, you may bring your own stuff! Just do not bring any alcoholic beverages. Danada F.P does not allow any alcohol on premises! Cheers!

Will you have any water stations on the course? There will be water stations at the 5K, 10K and 1/2 Marathon turn around points.  We will also have water at the finish line. Cheers!

Is parking free? Yes, parking is free.  We highly recommend to carpool. 

Is there swag etc? Yes, the race package includes a customized Warrior Rush T-shirt, medal, fun memories, and plenty of bragging rights. 

If I do not run, can I walk? Yes, keep it slow and steady.  We have many walkers, joggers, and run/walkers at this event!  We will be waiting for you at the finish line.
