About Waves of Freedom 5K Run/Walk
Join us in Culver, a strong patriotic community where the American flag flies proudly all year long on many front porches, for the Waves of Freedom 5k run and walk along the shores of beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee.
Each participant will receive a day worth remembering! You will begin the race with a start from our special guest, a custom event t-shirt (register early to be guaranteed a shirt), great music, a free root beer from Culver’s Original Root Stand, and a jump in the lake (if you want) after your race is complete.
Spend the day in Culver and enjoy our Lake Festival vendors, kids’ amusement rides, parade, car show, restaurants, kayaking, and swimming at the town beach. Spectacular fireworks on the lake cap off your day, with plenty of space to spread out on the grass in the park with family and friends.

Day Of Race Info
Our course will be fast and fun, starting and ending near the Beach Lodge on the Lake. Check out the course on Strava.
Packet pickup opens at 6:30am ET and closes at 7:45am ET. Onsite registration accepted until 7:45am with no shirt guaranteed.
Age based awards will be given in the town park following the event.
The Little Sparkler 1/4 Mile will begin at 8:00 with the 5K Run/Walk beginning immediately after.
