Orange County Airport, Montgomery, NY About the Race
We will kick off the day at 9:15 AM with our 5K Walk, followed by the 5K Run at 9:30 AM and the free quarter-mile Kids Fun Run at 10:30 AM. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome!
This course is flat, fun, and fast, so be prepared to beat your personal best. 5K awards will be presented to the top finishers in each age group.
We’ve reached 175 registrations, and all complimentary race shirts have been claimed!
Still want a 2026 We Can Be Heroes 5K race shirt? Shirts will be available for $25 each and can be purchased in advance through RunSignup or on race day with cash or card, while supplies last.
Packet pick-up begins at 8:00 AM with light refreshments.
Running for a Cause
All proceeds benefit Fearless! Hudson Valley , the only private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Orange and Sullivan Counties providing free and confidential services for victims and survivors of abuse and violence.
Our mission is to build an informed, just, and accountable society where all people can experience supportive and safe relationships free from abuse, exploitation, and oppression. We advance this mission through education, prevention, advocacy, shelter, and comprehensive services for survivors of interpersonal violence, human trafficking, sexual violence, and other forms of crime victimization.

We're excited to welcome you to the 9th Annual We Can Be Heroes 5K & Kids Fun Run! Please review the parking information below to help make your arrival as smooth as possible.
Primary Parking
All participants and spectators should first proceed to the parking lot at Orange County Airport.

Parking attendants will be on-site to help direct vehicles and assist with parking. Please follow their instructions upon arrival.
Overflow Parking & Shuttle Service
Once parking at Orange County Airport reaches capacity, additional parking will be available at the Regional Food Bank Hudson Valley.

Two shuttle vans will be available to transport participants and spectators between the overflow parking lot and the race location.
Please proceed to Orange County Airport first and follow the directions of our parking attendants if overflow parking is needed.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking will be available at Orange County Airport. If you require accessible parking, please notify a parking attendant upon arrival so they can direct you to the appropriate area, even if general parking has reached capacity.

Race day registration and packet pick-up begin at 8:00 AM.
Please plan to arrive early and allow plenty of additional time for parking, registration, and shuttle transportation if overflow parking is needed.

Our walkers and runners will start promptly at their scheduled times, so please give yourself enough time to get parked and to the starting line!
