About Whitney's Race 2026
Whitney's Race is more than a race. It is a race against time.
Every person diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is racing against one of the deadliest forms of cancer, and every mile we run brings us one step closer to changing that reality.
Whitney Marsh was just 41 years old when she passed away on November 1, 2018, only ten months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite living an exceptionally healthy lifestyle, Whitney's cancer was discovered too late for surgery. She continued fighting with remarkable strength, running 8 to 10 miles or cycling 30 to 40 miles a day while undergoing chemotherapy, but even extraordinary determination could not overcome a disease that too often remains undetected until it has already spread.
Today, pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest cancers because it is difficult to detect early and treatment options remain limited. That's why Whitney's Race exists to fund research, improve patient support, and create a future where families have the choice to choose the best treatment for their loved ones.
Proceeds from Whitney's Race benefit the Whitney Marsh Foundation, supporting pancreatic cancer patients and families through financial assistance, education, navigation services, and local initiatives across Arkansas, while also investing in groundbreaking research at leading institutions like MD Anderson Cancer Center.
When you register for Whitney's Race, you're doing more than signing up for a run. You're joining a community committed to giving patients more time and more hope.
