The brand new Wild Rose Half Marathon & 5K is blooming in Roseville this spring! Starting at Moksa Barrel House, runners will enjoy smooth paved trails, fresh air, and a new PR!

  • Half Marathon: A unique forked out-and-back on the Pleasant Grove Bike Path with less than 240ft of elevation gain. Flat, fast, and ideal for chasing a personal best.
  • 5K: A popsicle loop through William Hughes Park with just 40ft of elevation gain. Short, fun, and welcoming to runners of all levels.

All Half Marathon & 5K Runners will receive their choice of a Wild Rose technical shirt or BOCO running hat, a finishers medal, plus a drink ticket from Moksa Brewing Co. (21+). Walkers will receive a finishers medal and a drink ticket. After the race, stick around for raffle prizes from our sponsors.

5K Run

The Wild Rose 5K Run is a competitive race designed for runners of all levels who want to test their speed on a flat, fast course. Participants in this division are eligible for top finisher awards and will receive their choice of Wild Rose apparel swag (tech shirt or BOCO hat). The course features a popsicle loop through William Hughes Park with only 40 feet of elevation gain, making it approachable yet exciting for anyone chasing a strong finish.

5K Walk

The Wild Rose 5K Walk is a non-competitive option perfect for those who want to enjoy the course at their own pace. This division is offered at a lower entry fee and focuses on participation rather than competition. Walkers are not eligible for top finisher awards or apparel swag, but will still receive a participant award and a beer ticket from Moksa Brewing Co. Whether you’re out to move, stroll, or simply soak up the event atmosphere, the 5K Walk is a fun way to be part of race day.

Logistics

  • Where do I park? Free parking is available within the Blue Oaks Professional Center and anywhere legal to park.
  • Are there restrooms on course? Yes, there are restrooms along the Pleasant Grove Bike Path and at Aid Station #2 (Veterans Memorial Park)

Course & Rules

  • Are strollers allowed in the race? No, strollers are not allowed due to the shared width of the bike path. Those in violation will be DNF'd.

  • Are dogs allowed in the race? No, dogs are not allowed due to the shared width of the bike path. Those in violation will be DNF'd.

 

  • Can my non-registered friends / family run with me during the race? No, spectators / friends / family are not allowed to pace participants during the event. Those in violation will be DNF'd.

  • Are headphones allowed? Yes, headphones are allowed but runners are responsible for allowing other to pass as needed.

  • Is the path open to the public? Yes, the bike path is open to the public. Signs will be posted letting other users know of the event.

  • Is the course USATF / BAA Certified? No, the race is not a certified USATF or BAA event (at least this year).
  • What is the cutoff time? The course closes to participants at 12:00PM or 3.5 hours into the race.

Registration & Catagories

  • Can I defer my registration? Yes, you can defer your registration by logging into RunSignup and editing your ticket by May 9th with a $10 service fee. We're unable to defer or cancel your registration after May 9th.

  • What is the minimum age for the half marathon? As long as minor is accompanied / supervised by an adult there is no minimum age. 16 years on race day is the minimum participant age without supervision.

  • Can I switch from the half marathon to the 5K (or vice versa)? Yes, you may do so by editing your ticket and paying the difference (if there is a fee difference), through May 15th.

Swag & Finish Line

  • I can't make the race, can you ship my medal and swag to me? No, we do not ship any items. Swag may be picked up at check in & on race day only.

  • Will the results be posted? Yes, we will post results on RunSignup within an hour after cutoff on race day.

  • Can I / my minor use the drink ticket for alcohol? No, bibs given to minors will be modified and will not be allowed to trade in or collect a post event alcoholic drink. 

Weather

  • Will the race be held if the race day is hot or cold? Possibly. The race will be held rain or shine and in both hot or cold temperatures. In the event that there is a thunderstorm, flooding, or a fire / heavy smoke, the race may be postponed to Saturday May 23rd 2026. Deferral credit may be applied to participants in such cases.
