Timing and Results:

The Woodbury Lakes Races are gun timed races using chips to record finish times not starting times. Each runner is required to wear a race bib. Please keep your race bib visible at all times especially as you cross through the finish line. Timing works on a group start rather than a rolling start. We will keep the official race time. Faster runners should start closer towards the start line while walkers start near the back of the flagged corral. This helps prevent bottlenecking and frustration as everyone settles into their own race pace. While on the race path, please be considerate of other racers by stating when you are passing and kindly moving to the right if your pace slows.

Results will be posted on our Runsignup page. We will have QR codes to scan for you to check your results as soon as you cross the finish line.

Awards and Prizes:

Every half marathon runner will receive a finishers 3 inch wooden medallion after crossing the finish line. You must come to the medal table to receive your medal and get a mark on your bib that you picked it up once you complete the race.

We will award overall male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each event. Our race will not have age group awards due to the number participants.

Race Rules and Guidelines:

The trail is open to the public, so please be kind to pedestrians. Keep your pets at home; the trail can get crowded. Your bib must be visible at all times. Be mindful at all crosswalks; we are not allowed to close roads to traffic and there are several road crossings that we will NOT have crossing guards at. When merging with other races specifically at the end of the race near the Valley crossing Tunnel you will need to be mindful and courteous of all traffic. The finish will bring all races together and will get crowded. Be sure we are not pushing and shoving people if you are slower on your finish please stay to the sides of the trail.

Post-Race Celebration:

The post race celebration will start as soon as the first runner crosses the finish line. Runners will cross the finish line to music and light snacks. The awards ceremony will start at 10:15am with the time subject to change.

Spectator Information:

This is a great course for viewing your runners. There are multiple spots where you can see them two or three times: First on Clippership Dr., second at Powers Lake parking lot, third at Seasons Park Parking off Interlocken Dr., and of course, the final one at the starting and finishing line in Colby Lake Park.

As you move between spectator spots, please be very cautious of runners crossing the roads and obey all traffic laws. We do not have any roads shut down for the event.

Safety Precautions:

When merging with other races specifically at the end of the race near the Valley crossing Tunnel you will need to be mindful and courteous of all traffic. The finish will bring all races together and will get crowded. Be sure we are not pushing and shoving people if you are slower on your finish please stay to the sides of the trail. We will try to have volunteers at all major turning points and major road crossings. Roads will be open, so be mindful of cars. The path is open to the public; be courteous to pedestrians. This also happens to be the Woodbury Lions Garage Sale day so streets will be busy.

Volunteers:

The Woodbury Lakes Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k does not happen without our incredible volunteers. Please make sure you thank them on race day. If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer on race morning, please choose your volunteer options here. There are volunteer options available even if you are racing! Click here to volunteer
