About Wounded Veterans Relief Fund Running for Heroes 5K
12th Annual Wounded Veterans Relief Fund 5k Run/Walk honoring those who are serving and those who have served our great country. Raising funds to help our Florida Veterans that find themselves homeless or on the verge of homelessness. WVRF provides veterans with housing and transportation assistance, activities, and resources to help them find their new "normal". Their mission is: To provide emergency financial assistance and professional services to qualified, disabled Florida veterans in order to save lives and keep families together. Your support is needed! We want to let every business know about our sponsorship opportunities that support disabled veterans during their greatest time of need. Our life saving programs include housing assistance and our NEW DENTAL program that is free for qualified veterans. Currently, 92% of our veterans are not eligible for dental care through the VAMC. This means that most of Florida's heroes are suffering from poor dental health that may lead to mental and overall health issues. Our community loves to support this 5k event which features active-duty ARMY & MARINE CORPS service members.
